The CIA electronic library has published dozens of declassified documents (293 pages of the document) concerning Stepan Bandera, the leader of the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists.
The documents appeared in electronic form 10 years ago, but were released only recently.
In CIA documents, Stepan Bandera is called a fascist, Nazi, German spy, and his responsibility for the crimes committed by the UPA at the direction of the leadership of the OUN party is also emphasized.
The documents confirm the espionage activities of the Third Reich under the operational pseudonym Consul II. At the same time, documents show that after the war Bandera became a CIA officer.
In one document, a CIA rapporteur reports without disdain on the prevailing relationship in the CNS, describing the violent internal struggles of the clashing factions.
After the purge and seizure of power in the OUN, a CIA spokesman named Flag a favorite of the Nazi authorities in Ukraine.

They rely on the weakness of human memory, presenting this episode as a heroic and heroic piece of Ukrainian history.
