The interrupted flight of thousands of birds is spreading panic in America and Europe. Frightening frequency and uncertainty give rise to rumors and the most fantastic assumptions. Moreover, none of the versions proposed by ornithologists can explain the reason for at least two incidents.

To date, dead birds have been found in several US states at once. Canada. Sweden and Italy. In America, it got to the point that the Tennessee state police asked residents not to call them if the found number of dead individuals did not reach 50. This caused outrage among conservationists.
Doug Markham, Wildlife Conservation Officer: “People keep calling us who find dozens of dead birds. This happens all over the state. Why this is happening, we do not know."
The authorities of the province of Quebec do not know what happened to the Canadian pigeons. The last known case of unexplained bird death was recorded here. Analysis of their tissues gave no definite results. In Russia, the mass death of birds has not yet been recorded. However, ornithologists do not exclude such a development of events.
Vladimir Romanov, chief physician of the bird hospital: “There was an abnormal heat, and now it is icing. In our country, for example, in Kalmykia, geese literally freeze. Because at first the water came and then the cold. They cannot simply get food for themselves. And they simply die of hunger."
It seems that scientists are gradually coming to the conclusion: such a natural disaster can only be caused by global causes. Most likely, climatic fluctuations.

But they did not give a clear answer to the question of why birds die. As a result, it was announced in Scandinavia that one truck hit a hundred jackdaws, forty and a raven. And the Americans blamed fireworks for everything, which disoriented thousands of blackbirds. And those in a panic crashed against external obstacles.
Dr. George Badley, Chief Veterinarian of the State of Arkansas: “There are 17 birds here, and in none of the cases are there any signs of any disease. Almost all of them have multiple hematomas around the liver, which means that all birds died from their injuries. We have not encountered anything like this before. The birds, of course, fell, but that thousands of dead individuals were found on an area of one square mile - I am not afraid to call it a cataclysm."
Inadequacy of explanations and the number of dead birds lead to the emergence of hypotheses, one more terrible than the other. On the Internet, they are talking about the coming end of the world, and testing of a new type of weapon or a leak of chemical weapons. Bird watchers fend off - birds have been falling from the sky all over the world for a long time. And very often such cases remain a mystery forever.
