A resident of the Brazilian state of Santa Catarina filmed a cluster of maggots crawling along the sidewalk like one huge worm. "I bent down to get a better look and saw that it was a lot of small insects." According to her, they fingered with tiny legs and climbed on top of each other. “I don't know what these insects are,” says Silveira. "Some say they are caterpillars, others say they are wasp larvae." According to her, she had never met such creatures before.
Entomologist Dave Clarke believes that these are insect larvae from the suborder seated belly. Unlike caterpillars, they can have six or more pairs of legs on their abdomen. According to the expert, the larvae could migrate to another place and gathered in a close group to protect themselves from predators. In July, it was reported that a resident of the British city of Southampton filmed a strange creature resembling a fat worm with a rat tail. Its length was about 13 centimeters.
