“He was over two meters tall, covered with hair and growling terribly,” says the frightened woman.
In Australia there are no bears and no apes, and neither are ordinary monkeys. Therefore, who exactly scared the resident of New South Wales with logic and science cannot be explained.
The eyewitness herself is sure that it was "yovi". This word the aborigines call the local analogue of Bigfoot.
The Australian newspaper "The Northern Star" wrote about the incident on August 22, 2018, but the meeting with Yovi took place on March 5. It happened in the Uki area, in the Mount Jerusalem National Park.
The woman who met the hairy creature wished to remain anonymous. She said that at about 7 pm she was returning from a cricket game in a car from Uki to her home, but she really wanted to use the toilet and stopped at the side of the road. She brought a cricket bat with her, just in case.
The woman grabbed a cricket bat when she saw that something nearby had moved a fallen log. And then she heard a knock. She decided to knock back and the creature responded with another knock.

Then the woman decided that someone decided to play a trick on her, but then something big, “pear-shaped” and heavy headed towards her from the thickets, quickly crossing a small ravine.
“I'm sure it was a real creature, not a man in a suit. He was 6-7 feet tall (180-210 cm) and was covered with hair. His chest was clearly visible, which was partially hairless. I rushed to the car, deciding to photograph him on my phone, but something scared him away and he ran back into the thicket."
Then the woman learned that in these places hunters often saw a huge hairy two-legged beast, which dogs were very afraid of. The dogs, barely smelling it, whined and tucked their tails.
“His face was so big that his eyes were the size of a golf ball. Body hair was long, about 5 inches (13 cm). When I was looking for the phone in the car, it stood still, swaying a little, and just looked at me, dropping its huge arms along its body. His hands reached up to his knees, and he smelled very unpleasant, as if from a long-rotting carcass.
According to the woman, the creature's hair was light brown and the skin was much darker. She saw black hair on her arms.
The eyewitness is now very sorry that it was not possible to take a photo, because almost no one believes her words.
“His face was like a gorilla's, but it was oval in shape. You can often read that Yovi had red eyes, but this one had blue-red. The nose looked flattened, and the face clearly showed a beard and mustache above the upper lip.
The strangest thing was his mouth. It was human in shape, but very large, about 7 inches (18 cm) long. I did not see his teeth, as his mouth was closed. The creature looked very frightening."
Dean Harrison of the Australian Society of Explorers Yovi was one of the few people who believed this woman's words. Dean has been studying Yovi for over 20 years and says that the archives of the society have accumulated a lot of stories about meeting these creatures in Australia.
