Snowman. Yeti. Bigfoot. Gomin. He has many names, but at the same time, scientists still do not know with whom (what?) They are dealing with: a living creature, by the will of nature, forced to hide in the snow-capped mountains, or with the fruit of a rich human imagination. But the third option is also possible …

HELLO BIG FOOT

The most important argument in favor of the reality of the existence of the gomin - and this is how the researchers-hominologists of Bigfoot are now increasingly called - is the numerous testimonies of eyewitnesses, strikingly similar to each other.

In Russia, the first recorded meeting with a Bigfoot took place in the winter of 1947. A hunter from the village of Andreevka, Dzhambul region, met several snowmen in the mountains at once. Professional instinct worked: he shot at them, but, to his surprise, did not hit. The Yeti instantly disappeared. The hunter returned home.

Rumor has it that two weeks later he was paralyzed and died. But these are most likely fables: as experience shows, meetings with Bigfoot go without consequences. The Yeti never showed direct aggression towards people, never attacked them. Apparently, he is not interested in a person - neither as an enemy, nor as a gastronomic dish.

World fame for Bigfoot was brought by a story that happened in August 1958 with Ray Wallace, a resident of San Diego. As a bulldozer in a construction firm, he came to work and saw a chain of huge human-like footprints around his car. The tracks led out of the forest, bypassed the bulldozer from all sides and again went into the forest, through which the builders laid the road.

The next day, with a light suggestion from Ray, all the local newspapers learned about the incident. Journalists immediately dubbed the mysterious creature bigfoot (from the word bigfoot - "bigfoot"), and although Ray's relatives later claimed that he invented this whole story for self-promotion, it was too late: everyone was talking about the yeti.

The level of discussion was so high that even skeptical Soviet scientists got involved in it. Bigfoot was suddenly seen in various parts of the world. Wherever there is snow and at least some mountains, there were eyewitnesses who saw Bigfoot.

INTELLIGENCE REPORTS

Today, Bigfoot is talked about much less often, but they still see him often. In the winter of 2006, residents of the Arbazhsky district of the Kirov region found mysterious footprints in the snow almost every day: 40 cm long and 20 cm wide. One can only imagine how a large "animal" has chosen the Vyatka shores …

In the spring of the same year, hunters, who chose the northernmost county of England, Northumberland, for their fishing, repeatedly stumbled upon huge tracks left, according to them, by none other than the yeti.

In the same area, next to Lake Bolam, several groups of hunters at once on the same night, but in different areas observed the following picture: a huge furry creature jumped out of the forest with a growl, carefully looked at the people, and after a few seconds was hiding in the thicket. Most of the eyewitnesses agreed on the description of the unusually bright - burning! - the eye of an unknown creature.

Skeptics, however, insist that this incident can be easily explained by the imagination of the participants in the hunt. After all, there is a road along which cars drive at night with their headlights on: here are your burning eyes.

Who is right and who is wrong - you can't tell, and, perhaps, it's not worth it. The theory of the existence of Bigfoot has always been, is and will be both opponents and supporters.

In the spring of 2006, the Yeti was sighted again - this time in China. Bigfoot 2.5 meters tall, with bright red hair met a hunter in the national reserve of Hubei province. Scientists who arrived at the scene found footprints similar to human ones, only too large - 40 cm long.

Similar prints were also found in Switzerland, Canada and several northern states of the United States. The geography is too broad for the "enacted imagination".

TWO COUNTRIES, ONE SCENARIO

This is where the third version appears: the mysterious Bigfoot is nothing more than a military development. At first glance, nonsense. But only at first.

Fans of the "military" version of the origin of Bigfoot associate his appearance with the end of World War II. Or rather, in the fall of 1945: it was then that the results of research by German scientists - in various fields of science - were in the hands of the secret services of the USSR and the United States.

As you know, the Nazis for the sake of science did not stand on ceremony with the "expendable material" - a man. Numerous experiments on humans, experiments in the field of genetics were supposed, according to the plan of the Nazi scientists, to eventually lead to the emergence of a superman, capable, in particular, of withstanding frost and withstand global cold snaps.

Scientists from the USA and the USSR continued these studies, putting on various experiments on great apes. Some time later - in the 1950s - an urgent need arose in both countries to test the effect of radiation on living organisms. And we all have an approximate idea of what it is: the diversity of species as a result of mutation is provided. Plus genetic engineering. In light of the above, the appearance of the so-called Yeti does not look unrealistic.

It may very well be that, contrary to the laws of the world, experiments were carried out on humans. And the result of genetic mutations was a person who has significantly increased in size and weight, as well as overgrown with long hair. Of course, all these experiments are still strictly classified, and therefore we cannot know how much such serious transformations are actually possible at the genetic level. One can only guess.

But let's get back directly to Bigfoot. In the Union, he was first seen in 1947, that is, 2 years after receiving data from Germany: enough time to study the material and improve it. In the United States, due to a lack of information, it took 13 years to create Bigfoot: Ray Wallace discovered giant footprints from his bulldozer in 1958.

However, in both countries the experiment proceeded according to the same scenario - this is the only way to explain the external similarity of "objects" observed in completely different parts of the planet.

Of course, this version will not put an end to the dispute about the Yeti. Millions more different theories and interpretations of the origin and existence of Bigfoot will be proposed. But, if you believe the proverb, sooner or later all the secret becomes apparent.
