In Voronezh, research is being conducted on freezing people to prolong their life. An unusual project was launched by the KrioRus company, which has been preserving the bodies of the dead in liquid nitrogen for more than eight years in order to revive them in the future.
34 people and 14 pets have already undergone this procedure, and more than 100 people have signed contracts. Last year the company earned 8 million rubles. It costs 36 thousand dollars to freeze a whole body in KrioRus, only the head or brain - 12 thousand dollars.
What kind of experiments are being carried out in Voronezh is not specified. It is only reported that investments in scientific activities amount to about 30 thousand dollars a year. The company's specialists work in two laboratories, one of them is located in our city, the second in Moscow. Moreover, both laboratories attract funding from private investors. Apparently, in Voronezh, this is done by CryoFreedom, which has its own storage facilities for such material.
It is unknown when the frozen bodies will come to life again. KrioRus experts believe that until the human body begins to deteriorate, it can be immersed in suspended animation until science finds a way to revive the dead. The researchers are confident that it will be possible to revive not only the body, but also the personality and consciousness of a particular person.
Cryonicists are optimistic that even now organs, damaged parts of the body, or even the entire body can already be "grown" again using regenerative medicine technologies, 3D printing of tissues and nanotechnology, although a decade ago it seemed like a fantasy. At the same time, the company indicates in the contract that it does not give guarantees of reviving the deceased.
The company plans to build a new storage facility for frozen bodies, where they will be stored at a higher temperature. And the marketing department is already considering a proposal for banks to provide loans for cryo services.
