Video: One Legged Ghost Gong Goi Spotted in Thailand? 2024, May

The video, which allegedly filmed a one-legged monster from Thai legends and myths, went viral and has already gained over 3.5 million views on Facebook.

The video was made by a driver who noticed something light in the grass on the side of the road.

When the man slowed down and began filming this small creature with his smartphone, it first curved strangely, and then began to move away with such jumps, as if he had only one leg.

The video is very short, only 10 seconds, but judging by the numerous comments and words of the driver himself, he may have filmed a mythical creature called "Phi kong koi".

This creature is about the size of a child and lives in the jungle. It has been described in various ways, but most often it is only one leg, movement by jumping and loud shouts of “Kong koi! Kong koi!”, After whom he was named.

Sometimes it is mentioned that he has a mouth in the form of a tube through which it is convenient for him to suck human blood. Phi Kong Koi loves to attack lonely travelers when they stop for the night in the woods, suck on their fingers with his mouth-pipe and suck fresh blood.

Therefore, for protection, all travelers are advised to pull up their legs, squeeze them tightly or cross them. You can also escape from Phi Kong Koi if you climb a tree, because of one leg, this vampire cannot climb.

Most often this creature is female and has long black hair, which, like jumping, also fits into the image of the creature filmed on the video.

Skeptics are sure that the video is either a deliberate forgery and a doll is filmed there, or the driver filmed a jumping squirrel.

There is also a version that under the name Phi Kong Koi a very small group of humanoid creatures is hiding, which lead a primitive lifestyle and hide from everyone in the dense Thai jungle.

Supposedly, they once attacked people and killed them to eat. Then, with the development of civilization, they went deeper and deeper into the forests and now they can be found only occasionally.

This version is supported by the case when in 2016 in a cave in Thailand they found an unusual footprint similar to the footprint of a primate. The trail did not fit any of the large animals living here, and including it does not look like the tracks of local monkeys.
