George Donlan from Manchester suffers from a rare genetic disorder. It has been diagnosed in only 150 people worldwide. Doctors do not know how to deal with the anomaly, also known as ring 18. The essence of the anomaly is that a chromosome in the form of a ring is formed in place of the normal 18 chromosome.

Due to this mutation, the child develops slowly. Although the boy will turn three in June, he has to wear clothes for a nine-month-old baby. Also, the boy does not communicate well (he gets upset, starts screaming in public, does not speak, but uses sign language).
George cannot eat normally. Food goes straight to the stomach through a tube. He is able to walk only holding on to the furniture. Apparently, with aging, other, more serious deviations will also make themselves felt.
Doctors do not make predictions because symptoms vary widely among patients. However, memory loss, vision and heart problems can be expected. Now the boy's relatives are going to raise funds to support research on this disease.
