Human consciousness has a multilevel structure, at the top of which is the higher "I". The essence of the higher “I” is integrity and awareness. This is what the teachings of the world call the soul.
If consciousness itself can be at any of the levels: material, emotional-sensual or mental, then O-consciousness means the finding of consciousness at the highest point of evolution of a certain level of reality, which is contained in the symbol "O". "O" or zero is a symbolic image of the World Egg, the embryo of the Universe or the Primordial Source.
In the pyramid of the hierarchy of the Universe, its top is occupied by the Creator or O-tz, Father. In the structure of a person's consciousness "O" is a state when his consciousness is aware of itself.
In most cases, a person is not aware of himself. As a rule, his mind is carried away by sensations, emotions or thoughts. And a person forgets who he is.
For example, almost everyone sometimes commits rash acts, which they later regret. This is due to emotions influencing decisions. This happens because at the moment of its acceptance, consciousness becomes hostage to the emotional-sensory level. And his own habits and attachments keep him hostage.
Thoughts in a person's mind are a product of the mind- the mental level of the entire structure. The mind is necessary for cognition and for interacting with the surrounding world. A person, whose consciousness is for the most part, will no longer make emotional decisions at the mental level. However, this does not save him from mistakes. The human mind tends to divide the general picture into particulars and define them. Once, having accepted some belief for itself, the mind no longer wants to return to the past, and the person becomes a hostage of his mind. For example, having experienced the shock of deceiving the opposite sex several times, someone may conclude that relationships are always pain and disappointment. A person with a similar experience is very likely to transfer his conclusions about the essence of the relationship to subsequent partners, thus, becoming more and more rooted in his beliefs.
Also, the mind is characterized by the so-called, reverse rationalization, when logic begins to be used to explain and justify its weaknesses. Thus, the mind can find a logical explanation why it is possible to break the diet, why you can return to an old habit, why you can sleep longer or skip a workout.
The mental plane of consciousness is not eternal, like the physical body, like emotional attachments. The immortal part of the soul lives beyond physical forms, emotions, and thoughts. And in order to establish contact with your immortal part, you need to learn to stop thoughts in your mind, turn off emotions and sensations in the body.

Such practices are especially necessary in the early stages of establishing a connection with the soul. The fact is that the information perceived by a person through the channels of the physical body and mind is much coarser than that which is perceived by the subtle channels of the soul. And the voice of the soul manifests itself in inspiration and intuitive insights, which can be caught only by subtly feeling the changes in your own state. Often, people are too keen on the processes of everyday life to track changes in these internal states. By itself, the opening of intuitive channels, which many "schools" promise today, may not bring any results. It often happens that these intuitive channels are already open in a person. It's just that the information coming through them is jammed by the lower frequencies of thoughts, emotions and physical sensations. The language of the soul is silent, and its voice is most perceptible in silence: external and internal.
The practice of stopping internal dialogue is the main and basic one among all spiritual and esoteric practices. As it was said a long time ago: you need to be able to separate the wheat from the chaff. In this case, the seeds are the voice of an immortal soul, this voice whispers the truth. And tares are thoughts and emotions that are always subjective and therefore far from the truth.
