Clinical death is a condition experienced by patients who were declared dead by doctors, but after a while came to their senses. Those who had to endure clinical death say that their soul left the body and went where there is no access for living people.

In 1975, psychiatrist Raymond A. Moody published his book Life After Life, in which he detailed the phenomenon of clinical death. Further research and experiments helped to find out that approximately one in twenty people in the world experienced clinical death. These data are considered today the most convincing evidence that human existence is not interrupted after physical death.

The phenomenon of clinical death has been known since ancient times. Its description can be found in the Egyptian Book of the Dead, which is 2,500 years old. Ancient Greek and medieval literature is also full of stories about people who survived clinical death. In one of these works, Plato describes how a Greek warrior came to his senses on a funeral pyre, just before the fire was lit. The warrior told how he left his body and walked along the luminous tunnel to where dead friends and dead relatives were waiting for him.

Studies have shown that there is no predisposition for clinical death. It can be experienced by people of different ages, gender, nationality, religion, education, social status, place of residence, social status, degree of emotional stability.

A characteristic feature of the phenomenon is that all those who have experienced this state describe approximately the same thing. At first, a person feels himself floating in the air, then he sees his own body lying below. After that, a rapid flight through the tunnel begins. At the end of the journey, deceased loved ones await him. They all rejoice, smile. Against the background of the meeting, beautiful music is often heard, and beautiful landscapes of green forests, flowering meadows, iridescent river waters delight the eye. And all this looks brighter and more beautiful than it was on Earth. In the new world, a person does not experience pain, fear, he feels only boundless joy. Then he sees a beautiful being, as if woven from light, all-seeing and all-forgiving. It shows the deceased pictures from his earthly life. After that, he is told that the time to move here has not yet come, and the soul returns to the physical body.

It is interesting that in different cultures the description of clinical death is the same. Stories about her can be read from the Egyptians, Tibetan monks, Greek authors, in the writings of Indian sages.

In 1977, researchers compared the experiences of nine hundred people who had experienced clinical death. Some of the patients lived in the USA, some in India. Despite the different cultural backgrounds of the patients, all the dying visions were similar to each other.

Sometimes people who are in a state of clinical death meet their acquaintances in another reality. Having come to their senses, they learn that this person was in the same dying state at about the same time.

Although some scientists still continue to consider clinical death a hallucination of the brain suffering from a lack of oxygen, modern research refutes this theory. In a state of clinical death, devices record zero brain activity, which never happens while a person is alive. Therefore, most researchers believe that people who have experienced clinical death have visited another dimension or another level of reality, where sooner or later we will all recover.
