This very interesting historical incident, which tells of a violent clash between humans and Yeti, is now almost forgotten. Only a few cryptozoologists mention it.

It happened in 1855 in the area of the modern states of Oklahoma and Arkansas, where there was once a vast territory of the Choctaw Indians. At the beginning of the 19th century, the Choctaw were one of the "Five Civilized Tribes", since they adopted many of the cultural and technological achievements of European colonists and therefore did not have wars with whites.

In 1855, mysterious bandits got into the habit of stealing Indian vegetables from the fields and sometimes stole livestock. This, perhaps, would have remained practically unattended if the "bandits" had not switched to kidnapping people, mainly children, which infuriated the entire tribe.

In search of the bandits' lair, a large detachment of warriors-riders decided to go, among which Hamas Tubbee stood out with his six sons, who stood out for their very large growth (over 2 meters). Together with other ideologists, they looked like real giants.

Led by the half-breed (half-French-half-Indian) Joshua LeFlor, the detachment left early in the morning for the desert lands, perfectly armed with high-precision rifles and full of a thirst for revenge. After 14 hours, they reached what is now the McCurtain County Wilderness Area of Oklahoma and camped by the river to finally rest and eat.

Before LeFlor had time to give the necessary orders, something suddenly caught his attention. With the help of a telescope, he began to peer into the distance, and at this time the horses began to snort restlessly. According to LeFlor, somewhere nearby there is obviously a detachment of bandits and Indians, who finally got the opportunity to attack, yelled and rushed on their horses in that direction through the thicket with weapons.

But almost immediately they were forced to stop, as a disgusting stench hit their faces. It was a veritable wall of stench, the horses reared, and the Indians began to cough and gasp from the stench.

Only a few, including LeFlor himself and Tabby and his sons, managed to keep the horses and resist the stench. They continued on their way to the supposed lair of the bandits and ended up in a forest clearing. There, in the center, they discovered what was causing the stench. There was something like an earthly mound, around which human corpses of varying degrees of decomposition were lying around.

And next to them were three creatures and did not closely resemble people. They were huge monkey-like monsters. They were so tall that Tabby and his sons felt like little dwarfs. The beastmen stood calmly and looked at the people, not in the least afraid of them.

What followed was as dramatic as a good action movie. It was said that LeFlor shot the beastmen with a pistol and lunged at them with a saber and yell. In response, one of the creatures stepped forward and with one massive hand struck LeFore's horse on the head and finished it off.

LeFlor ended up on the ground, but was unharmed and again fired his pistol at the monster several times. However, even with the bleeding wounds, the beastman was on his feet and the wounds only barely slowed him down. He lunged at LeFlor, grabbed his head and tore it off.

All this time, the rest of the people watched in shock. But at the sight of the falling headless body of their commander, over whom stood a grinning huge monkey, they found courage again. They began to shoot the monsters with their rifles and rifles and they managed to finish off two of the three creatures.

The third creature was badly wounded and wanted to run away, but one of the Tabby brothers finished him off with a hunting knife, stabbing him in the head. Further, people waited for the attack of new monsters for some time, but it was quiet around. Then the Indians began to collect the corpses, scattered across the clearing, mixed with puddles of urine and feces of monsters.

They collected the bodies of those killed in one place and buried them. Among the corpses were at least 19 bodies of children. The bodies of the monsters were collected in another pile and burned to the ground.

This is without a doubt a very creepy story. And naturally, there are many questions about its veracity. Over the years, this story has been published many times in several variations on the English-speaking Internet, and it is difficult to name the source.

We can only say that Joshua LeFlor is a real historical character who really died in those places in 1855. Also, according to some information, the family of giant Indians Tabby is real.
