“She has short red hair, a long rat tail, and green eyes. And outwardly it looks like a kangaroo , - this is how the Khmelnytsky hunter Vladimir, who asked not to give his name, describes the beast. Apparently, the mythical Chupacabra has reappeared in Ukraine. So, at least, some residents of the Krasilovsky district of the Khmelnitsky region, who in May saw this strange creature, terrifying, say.
For ten years, starting in 2004, the Chupacabras terrorized villagers in many regions of the country, destroying rabbits, chickens and other domestic animals. There are several known cases when a mysterious beast attacked people. However, a couple of years ago, the Chupacabra disappeared as suddenly as it appeared. Until recently, nothing was heard about her. The villagers breathed a sigh of relief, hoping that the Chupacabra would never return. And in May 2016, residents of the villages of Rosolovtsy and Manovtsy, Krasilovsky district, sounded the alarm. The unknown animal again began to gut the iron cages with rabbits. Some residents of these villages encountered a chupacabra, as they say, nose to nose.

“Late one evening I was driving a jeep to hunt in the direction of Krasilov,” says Vladimir, a forestry worker from Khmelnitsky. - Suddenly, in the headlights, I saw that some animal had crossed the road. And he rushed so fast that I hardly had time to see anything and immediately hit the brake. I jumped out of the car, I look around - no one. A chill ran through my body. I felt an inexplicable horror. My hands even shook. You see, it's dark, you can't see anything. And the impression is that someone is standing nearby and hypnotizing you.
He jumped into the car and took a deep breath. Turned on the headlights at full power. And suddenly I saw that some strange creature was standing about ten meters away and looking directly at me. This creature vaguely resembled a kangaroo. The front legs are short, with a powerful tail. By the way, the animal did not stand still, but jumped, as if preparing to jump.
I am an experienced hunter and I will tell you that I have never seen such animals. For some reason it seemed to me that in front of me was a female. She jumped up hard. It seems she had a slightly enlarged belly. She may have been pregnant. I can't say anything about her height. Although the creature stood on its hind legs, the body was tilted forward. I think this beast weighed over fifty kilograms. There was a gun next to me, but I was afraid to even move. So we looked at each other, probably for about a minute. Then the beast jumped to the side and … disappeared. I don't know why, but I suddenly jumped out of the car and wanted to run after him. I grabbed a camera, I thought I would have time to photograph at least from a distance. But the beast was gone.
If someone else had told me about it, I would not have believed it. And here - I saw it with my own eyes! The next morning I returned to that place. It had rained the night before, and I distinctly saw the footprints of the beast on the ground - three thumbs fifteen centimeters long each. The distance between the tracks is two - two and a half meters. Jumping contagion!

I told other hunters about the meeting with the creepy animal. Thought I'd be laughed at. But they took my information quite seriously. It turns out that many have already heard that the Chupacabra appeared in the vicinity. “Hares, hedgehogs, foxes and other animals run closer to villages,” said one hunter. "There is something in the forest that the animals are looking for protection from people."
I later learned that in Rosolovtsy and Manovtsy, since the beginning of May, someone has been systematically destroying domestic animals. And, as the locals told me, it not only destroys, but literally tears apart metal cages with rabbits. And he arranges the carcasses of the killed animals by color: alternating black, for example, with white.

With some residents of the villages of Rosolovtsy and Manovtsy, the correspondent of "FACTS" managed to talk by phone. One of them, Victor, was initially unhappy with the call from the journalist.
- Who gave you my phone number? - the guy was indignant. - Yes, I told the lads that I saw some kind of beast, however, then I was not happy that I did not keep my mouth shut. They began to tease me. Like, Vitek got drunk and he sees all kinds of evil spirits. But I actually saw this beast. I work as a truck driver. I went to Krasilov in the evening. Suddenly, I had the feeling that someone was looking at me. I braked sharply and saw something terrible on the side of the road. It looks like a kangaroo, but the face looks like a rat. Fangs protruded from the mouth. I've heard of these creatures before. About four years ago they were doing this in the village of Shunki! They attacked both horses and people! Remember the story when the men at the bus stop barely beat off a woman from this beast? It's scary if the creature proliferates throughout Ukraine.
The monster jumped over a one and a half meter fence and disappeared
- Oh, son, we have experienced this! - I hear in the receiver the voice of an elderly woman who introduced herself as Ulyana Sergeevna. - It was just before the wires (the day of remembrance of the dead. - Auth.). It was raining. It was already night. My grandfather and I watched the news on TV. Suddenly they heard - our dog Pulka barked. She went straight to screeching. And then she suddenly fell silent. And such a sound: boom - boom - boom!.. As if a heavy ball was jumping around the yard. I told my grandfather: take a flashlight and see who is there in the yard. Grandfather went out. He returned after a while and said that he had not noticed anything suspicious, except that our dog huddled in the booth and whined. I say: “Maybe a wolf is wandering around? Dogs are afraid of wolves. Let's take Pulka into the hut so that the gray doesn't chew."
The grandfather came back for the dog, then went into the house again: “Pulka doesn't want to get out of the booth! Whines, wriggles, does not give in the hands. And then we again heard this sound - boom - boom - boom … I turned off the TV, ran to the window to see what was there, and went straight to death! A monster peeked into the hut through the window from the street. Such a creepy face! Green eyes. Grandfather ran up and also managed to see how the monster jumped over the one and a half meter fence and disappeared.
We did not sleep all night. The grandfather wanted to run to his son at the other end of the village for a gun or to call him to us. But I didn't let go. This beast must have roamed somewhere nearby.
In the morning my grandfather and I went to feed the rabbits. We had 15. The metal bars of the cage (as thick as my little finger!) Were torn apart, and every last one of the rabbits was killed. The beast, as if mockingly, laid out the carcasses of the killed animals in a path towards the garden: black - white - black - white … Who could have done this? Man will not break the rods with his hands. And everyone in the village knows each other. It is unlikely that there will be someone from neighbors in the yard to climb and crush rabbits. When I told the neighbors, they began to remember about martens. Will the marten break the metal mesh? Now at night, if I want to go to the toilet, I only go out with an ax.

“At night, someone crushed chickens at my place,” complains another eyewitness, Valentin Olegovich. “Just don’t tell me my last name, please. I don't want people to laugh. Just like: whoever was not affected by this trouble with the Chupacabra - they do not believe that it was she who ruled. And when they have already suppressed rabbits or chickens, they begin to believe. Then don't laugh.
- Tell me, how did your killed chickens look like? Maybe their heads were bitten off?
- They were flattened like a cake. The veterinarian came and took one dead chicken for examination. No results yet. We burned the rest of the carcasses.
- The district police officer only throws up his hands, - says a local resident Vitaliy, who studies at the university in Khmelnitsky. - He says he does not see corpus delicti. It is not known what kind of animal attacks domestic animals. He will not initiate a criminal case against the animal. I come home to the village for the weekend. The parents said that someone had suppressed eight rabbits in them. Moreover, the carcasses were laid out in two piles - four rabbits in each. My father has good and reliable cages for rabbits. Someone at night with his teeth (?) Pulled out a wooden valve. It still lies in the yard - there you can see from the tracks what healthy fangs this beast has.
But the most interesting thing is in what state I found our Caucasian Shepherd Dog when I arrived for the weekend. Our dog Valet, always friendly and playful, just sat for three days and looked at one point. And he refused food. Then, thank God, I came to my senses.
“The Chupacabra watched me all night, did not let me out of the house,” recalls Taras, who guards a private lake in the Krasilovsky district. - As luck would have it, and there was no connection to call and call someone for help. At first I heard a noise. I looked out the window and saw the beast, vaguely resembling a kangaroo, rushing along the shore of the lake. I wanted to drive him away, but he rushed in my direction. I locked the doors in the gatehouse and hid. Until the morning, no matter how much he looked out, the monster stood near the door and watched me. Probably expecting to go out. And in the morning it disappeared, as if it had never existed.
Chupacabra stories began in Ukraine in 2004. At first, a creature unknown to science appeared in the area of the city of Zbarazh, Ternopil region. There is a known case when a roe deer died, which was in an aviary, fenced with a metal mesh three meters high near one of the roadside cafes. In the morning, the watchman saw that the roe deer was dead, and two small holes were visible on its neck, from which, apparently, someone drank all the blood. No signs of breaking the aviary were found.
After this incident in Zbarazh, someone regularly began to destroy domestic rabbits, no matter how the owners hid them. The unknown animal was raided more than once, but to no avail. The locals were sure that the predator was hiding in the underground passages for which Zbarazh is famous.
Then the Chupacabra was seen in other regions. The villagers of Western Ukraine especially suffered from the excesses of the mythical creature. And in 2009, mysterious animals began to appear near big cities. Predators were seen on the outskirts of Chernigov, Khmelnitsky and near Kiev - in the village of Troyeshina.
Usually the Chupacabra did not attack people. True, once in the Rivne region, an animal attacked a resident of the village of Pyatigory, Raisa Seredyuk.
“I hardly remember anything,” the woman recalls. - I went home from my mother. We have a lot of wastelands in our village. Houses stand in small groups, like on a farm. I noticed a strange figure at the entrance to the cemetery about thirty steps. It was already getting dark, and it seemed to me that I saw a silhouette of a man. But this man was acting strange. He kind of … jumped up and down. When I looked closer, I was seized with horror. What stood in front of me was not human. He had a muzzle like a dog or a wolf. Only elongated and ugly. Two fangs protruded from the mouth. The coat appeared to be black. The monster stood on its hind legs, and the forelegs were bent at the chest. The monster was looking right at me. And then I ran. I managed to take only three steps when I felt a blow in the back. Later I found out that the chupacabra tore my jacket with its claws. The claw marks remained even on the back. But I didn't feel pain. She began to lose consciousness from fear. Before passing out, I heard the beast breathing heavily down the back of my head.
Raisa lay in the snow for two hours. Then a fellow villager found her.
- For two days after that I could not speak. My arms and legs were taken away, - the woman recalls.
In the same Rivne region in the winter of 2011, a chupacabra attacked 80-year-old Nadezhda Zozulyuk, leaving a deep bite mark on the old woman's leg.
“I haven’t seen anything like it,” doctor Nikolai Novak confessed then. - The wounds are large and deep. We have wildlife bite specialists at the hospital. So they say that it is more like a blow of a bear's paw - just such marks would remain. Nadezhda Semyonovna lost a lot of blood, but, thank God, the bone was not hurt. We give her rabies injections just in case. Who knows what kind of animal it is.
For the past two years, nothing has been heard about the mysterious beast. Sometimes people called the editorial office and reported that they had shot a predator that looked like a Chupacabra. However, as it turned out later, it was a large dog or a mad wolverine. News from the Khmelnytsky region seems serious. Has the mythical Chupacabra decided to return to Ukraine?
