A group of physicists from the ScanPyramids research project managed to find a secret chamber inside the ancient pyramid, which could very well serve as a secret tomb.

Scientists were helped by "cosmic" particles
A mysterious room, approximately 30 * 2 meters in size, was discovered directly above the central passage leading to the tomb. The researchers used special telescopes to recognize charged particles, muons. Usually this equipment is used for space exploration, but scientists have managed to adapt telescopes to detect voids and secret rooms.
It should be noted that the researchers of the ScanPyramids center have already made a sensational statement about the discovery of unexplored voids in the Cheops pyramid in the fall of 2016. Researchers have suggested that these could be the secret tombs of the ancient Egyptian ruler and his wife. However, this statement caused a flurry of sharp criticism from Egyptologists and archaeologists.

To refute the accusations and achieve the maximum purity of the experiment, the researchers used three muon telescopes at once. This made it possible to exclude even the slightest probability of an error made during scanning. Of course, it can be assumed that the found room (or corridor) was built by mistake and then walled up. However, it should be borne in mind that the ancient Egyptians were very skillful engineers and builders, and could not make such mistakes.

They arise due to the interaction of gas molecules and cosmic rays. As a result, muons are significantly accelerated and "accelerated" to speeds close to the speed of light.
However, physicists said that they would not comment on their discovery in any way. According to scientists, this is the task of Egyptologists and other specialists studying the ancient Egyptian civilization.
At present, researchers wish to study other sectors of the Cheops pyramid and other famous tombs, in which previously unexplored voids can also be found. It is hoped that the data obtained will help to understand the technology used to build gigantic and complex engineering structures.
However, muon scanners-telescopes are also not omnipotent, and are not able to reveal all the secrets of the mysterious ancient Egyptian civilization.
