In Indonesia, in the mountainous region of West Java in Garut, a tall pyramid was discovered. Until now, it was considered an ordinary mountain. And local residents have set up vegetable gardens on its slopes. The fact that the "mountain" is already of a very regular shape was noticed only recently by German scientists
After conducting geodetic work and measuring the resistance of the geological layers, the researchers found that the structure of the "mountain" is unlikely to be a natural formation. Carbon analysis of the upper, fertile soil layer has shown an age of 6,000 BC, and the lower, solid layer is dated to 7500 BC.
Before testing, a series of excavations was carried out, which found some inscriptions on a pyramid stone buried under layers of soil. Experts say that the pyramid is larger than the Great Pyramid of Giza.
“Its height reaches 200 meters and it was built 10,000 years ago,” says Professor Bonatz from the Deutsche Orient-Gesellscaaft (German Oriental Society).
In February 2012, an international conference will be held on the island of Bali. There, scientists will discuss ways to accelerate the excavation of the new "Great Pyramid".
