A resident of Montreal, the largest city in the Canadian province of Quebec, saw a strange ring around the sun on the evening of April 2, 2017.
An observant viewer, along with his girlfriend, watched the evening news and, in a report that spoke about the safety of container shipping, drew attention to a vertical black ring that appeared against the backdrop of a bright sun.
The surprised Canadian could not understand why the announcer did not say a word about such an unusual phenomenon, which was so obvious.
It is really interesting that none of the operators of the television channel noticed the black ring during the editing of the news, which showed up well in several photographs taken by an eyewitness in two minutes of reporting.
The pictures show the sun in different places, above the container ship and above the ice-covered bay. And each of them reflected this mysterious ring.
Of course, while it is useless to speculate about the origin of such an extraordinary phenomenon. It seems that the inexperienced viewer will have to wait for the experts to say about it.
