Google maps reveal a number of mysteries, but can these strange signs in the Egyptian landscape prove the existence of aliens?
The strange sign on Google maps bears a striking resemblance to the signs left by aliens. It has long been assumed that aliens communicate with humans directly through markings on the ground. Crop circles have been interpreted as a sign of the paranormal. A series of hoaxes were perpetrated by Doug Bauer and Dave Chorley in the 1970s and caused quite a media storm with some claiming they were witnessing UFOs.
Aliens may not look like that at all. And who said that it was their handiwork - crop circles?

Danae Stratu, Alexandra Stratu and Stella Constantinides have created circular designs in the landscape. They named it the Breath of the Desert, a model designed to show the passage of time and the nature of the stars in the desert. One spiral is made of mounds and the other is made of holes. Over time, the winds will slowly flatten hills and fill in depressions, forcing the desert to eventually return to its natural state.
It seems that people will have to wait before there are any messages from space.
