This year marks one hundred and five years since the fateful day, when a meteorite exploded at an altitude of 8 km above Siberia near the Podkamennaya Tunguska River. The force of the explosion, according to estimates of modern scientists, was from 40 to 50 megatons, which corresponds to the power of the largest hydrogen bomb.
More than a hundred years have passed since the explosion, but researchers are still arguing whether there was really a meteorite? After all, the exploded object was moving along a rather complex trajectory, and on Earth, apart from the traces of the explosion, not a single fragment of a space object was found, of which, given the experience of the recent meteorite fall in the Chelyabinsk region, there should have been many! The famous writer and traveler Vladimir Degtyarev proposed a new version of the events.
Vladimir Nikolaevich, was it the Tunguska meteorite?
- Today in the world there are more than a hundred hypotheses dedicated to the phenomenon of the "Tunguska Fall". This is a fireball, and ball lightning, and a flash of antimatter, and a comet fragment. Since the explosion, dozens of both scientific and amateur expeditions have visited the Podkamennaya Tunguska area. Each of them actually discovered certain natural features at the "fall" site: increased radioactivity, the largest magnetic anomaly on Earth, a significant mutation of the plant kingdom. But none of them found a single fragment of the exploded object, and this is a rather remote place in which any evidence can be stored for centuries!
The "Tunguska diva" was also touched by science fiction writers in their works. So, Alexander Kazantsev in the second half of the last century in an interview with APN said: “None of the hypotheses explains in the complex all the anomalies of the catastrophe, except for the fantastic. Back in 1946, ten years before the start of the USSR space program, I proposed a version of an extraterrestrial spacecraft that exploded over the taiga. They began to actively object to me. It is curious that the writer was believed by SP Korolev, a designer of terrestrial spaceships, who organized and dispatched an excellently equipped expedition to the "crash site" in order to "find at least a piece of the Martian ship." They didn't find it then. It was discovered only 68 years after the explosion, thousands of kilometers from Tunguska, on the banks of the Vashka River in the Komi ASSR. The fragment lay on the continuation of the trajectory of the supposed flight of the "meteorite" fragments. On that day, two fishermen accidentally discovered an unusual piece of metal on the shore. When he was hit against a stone, sparks fell. The times were not easy, and the fishermen, out of harm's way, handed over a fragment of strange metal to the authorities, and they sent it to Moscow. It turned out to be an unusual alloy. It contains 67% cerium, 10% lanthanum, 8% neobidium and 0.4% pure iron. Not one of these elements other than iron,in such quantities on Earth was not found. There was no technology that could create such an unusual alloy.
So they are aliens after all?

- Indeed, this conclusion suggested itself. However, the most curious thing was that this unusual alloy has a serious factual basis. The fact is that at the site of the "fall of the Tunguska meteorite" the content of the aforementioned rare earth metals is 600 times higher than anywhere else on Earth. At the same time, a fragment of an unusual alloy was studied not only by scientists, but also by technologists and engineers. They concluded that this is a fragment or part of a part in the form of a ring or sphere with a diameter of about 1.2 meters. And then they confirmed that there is no equipment on Earth capable of combining these rare-earth elements into one whole, and then pressing parts of a similar size under pressure of tens of thousands of atmospheres.
So what was the "fall of the Tunguska meteorite" really?
- I would not speak about the fall, but about the launch of the spacecraft from the Earth. It could be aliens, and descendants of representatives of the previous civilization of the Earth, and the automatic start of a ship left on an underground site by unknown creatures. By the way, Kazantsev expressed a similar version in his interviews: he suggested that after arriving at Earth, the automatic alien ship released a reconnaissance module. It is unknown - with aliens on board or not. The module exploded for some reason, and the ship was waiting for its return for a long time. Why?
