Rock carvings, which are more than 14 thousand years old (!!!), were found in one of the caves in the Spanish province of Vizcaya (autonomous region of the Basque Country). This was announced at a special press conference by archaeologist Diego Garate, who made this grandiose discovery.
According to him, we are talking about 70 images of various animals in a cave in the province of Berriatua, which was discovered in 1934-1935 by the Spanish scientist José Miguel de Barandiaran (1889-1991). As reported by Eurasia Press, the age of the drawings has already been confirmed officially - they are more than 14 thousand years old! How much more is difficult to say …
Garate explained that the discovery was made only now, since it is rather difficult to get to the right place: it is located at a distance of almost 300 meters from the entrance to the cave. In addition, the archaeologist emphasized, from time to time the openings are so narrow that one has to wade through on bellies.
According to Garate, this "discovery is very important." It is called, included Captain Obvious … He also said that in most cases we are talking about images of bison and horses, however, among the drawings there are goats, deer and other animals.
According to the archaeologist, the exploration of the cave will continue. Scientists will not yet open it to the public for security reasons. Nevertheless, everyone will be able to view the drawings thanks to a special 3D playback program, which scientists are working hard on.
Undoubtedly, the presence of even primitive drawings already speaks of developed creative thinking … In addition, the images were made long before the Flood of 10778 BC.
