A group of Volga ufologists collected a UFO data bank from the stories of city residents.

The first steps towards comprehending the unidentified began with the collection of materials about the flights of unidentified flying objects in Volzhsky.

- First of all, we, like our colleagues, were interested in the question, how real are UFOs in general? Is this phenomenon the invention of overly impressionable people? - Gennady Belimov, the ufologist, told "Volzhsky's Notebook".

But the scientific team passed the period of doubt rather quickly. For a year of research, a group of ufologists found a large number of eyewitnesses. People wrote to the editorial offices of newspapers, reported what they saw on the phone. More than once, the stories about UFOs coincided in a cross-sectional survey, that is, several Volzhans simultaneously saw the same object.

A resident of the 37th quarter, Lyudmila Gerasimova, on March 3, 1991, noticed 3 burning balls hovering over a neighboring house. Maria Kolupaeva, a pensioner from Sovetskaya Street No. 28, at night in February 1992, looked out the kitchen window and saw a bright light, like the sun, but what kind of sun can there be at 3:20 am? There were quite a few witnesses of guests from another planet. And the glowing balls were noticed precisely above the thousand-apartment building.

In November 2008, a certain Sergei, who lived in a nine-story building near the Central Market, called Belimov's home phone number. He told how, while walking the dog in the evening, he noticed ten orange objects flying over Sovetskaya Street towards the Volga River. - Their flight was strictly organized, the first word was leading the whole flock, - Sergei noted. An eyewitness to what he saw said that the objects were three times larger than a decent crow.

On June 28, 2008, the Volga artist and designer Alexander Kiyanenko joined the ranks of the UFO believers.

“I watched with my own eyes the flight of nine objects right in front of me,” the artist shared with his friend Belimov. At the meeting, Alexander explained the situation. From the balcony of his house, he saw the flight of eight flying objects. Objects of orange-fiery color moved slowly towards the Volga hydroelectric power station.

But the most important moment in this flight was the way over the temple. The top of one of the balls changed color to red, and its lower part fell rapidly downward. A new ninth ball flew to the destroyed object from the direction of Volgograd.

However, neither ufologists nor meteorologists were able to determine the nature of the phenomenon, so the group of ufologists could only consider such phenomena as unknown. Since the speed, bright light and noiselessness of objects cannot be attributed to any ordinary phenomenon that could occur over the peaceful Volga.
