This Nazi sadist was hanged when she was less than 22 years old. The monstrous cruelty of the overseer of the Nazi death camps, Irma Grese, was combined with the beautiful appearance of the fury. She was simply obsessed with atrocities against prisoners.
Daughter of time and mode
By today's standards, Irma was born into a large family - besides her, the peasant Alfred Grese and his wife Bertha had four more children. At the age of 13, the future "beautiful monster" was left without a mother - she committed suicide. Father and mother did not get along with each other, Alfred beat Bertha, and she, in the end, drank hydrochloric acid.
Irma's father has been a member of the Nazi NSDAP since 1937, but it so happened that in the end his daughter, a dropout Irma, showed herself to be a “true Aryan” and devoted to the ideals of Nazism. She dropped out of school 2 years after the death of her mother. Instead of studying, Grese was actively involved in the popularization of Nazi ideology in the girls' division of the Hitler Youth, where she was soon noticed by older comrades.
Concentration camp as a place for self-realization
Over the years Irma Grese has been looking for something to her liking and changing her specialties. She briefly worked in the SS Hohenlichen health resort, assisting a nurse. But this measured activity was not to the nature of the girl, torn apart by passions and vices. At the age of 19, Grese, despite her father's strong protest, decided to join the SS women's auxiliary unit. Women who were in such Nazi structures served, among other things, as guards in concentration camps.

In the same year, Irma Grese entered the Ravensbrück specialized women's concentration camp, then she was transferred to Auschwitz. By the end of 1943, Grese had already risen to the rank of senior warden.
Failed actress, real witch
The memories of the surviving prisoners of "Auschwitz" about the behavior of this outwardly beautiful Nazi "saltychikha", who after the war wanted to devote herself to a film career, have been preserved. Grese had several nicknames, and in each of these two word forms one word invariably denoted feminine charm, and the second blew like hell - the blond and blue-eyed warden was called "the fair-haired devil", "the angel of death" and, finally, "the beautiful monster."
She smelled of perfume, as all female prisoners noted, and preferred a blue jacket that hugged her figure to a gray uniform. Even her whip was special, with pearl inlay and steel inserts.
The "beautiful monster" mocked the prisoners especially - with bestial cruelty. Grese did not consider prisoners to be people; she had a lampshade made of the skin of murdered women. Dreams subtly, often tortured them to death, poisoned them with hungry dogs, could kill any of them of her own free choice. More than 30 thousand women from 30 barracks were in complete control of this sadist.
One of the prisoners at the post-war trial said that Irma Grese was a lesbian, she specially selected young girls she liked from among the camps, raped them, and then sent them to the gas chambers. The warden is also credited with having sex with the SS guards, the camp commandant, and with the "Doctor Death" himself - the so-called Joseph Mengele, who conducted terrible medical experiments on prisoners. The "blonde devil" could watch his torture for hours.
Songs on the eve of execution
Before being taken prisoner by the British in April 1945, Irma Grese served in the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp. For two months, until November 17, the work of the British military tribunal, called in the press the "Belsen trial", went on. In addition to Grese, there were other concentration camp employees in the dock, led by its commandant Josef Kramer.
Irma Grese was among the 11 sentenced to death, hanged on December 13 of the same year. She was not the only woman executed, in addition to the "Beautiful Monster" on the gallows two more guards-murderers from this concentration camp - Elisabeth Volkenrath and Johann Bormann - were hanged.
Witnesses claim that the last night of their lives was spent by Grese and Volkenrath to their own performance of Nazi songs. When the stranglehold was already on the neck of 22-year-old Irma Grese, her physiognomy retained an imperturbable expression.
