Since the 40s of the last century, the US intelligence services have carried out several secret projects in the framework of which reports of UFO sightings were investigated
In 1952, a secret project "Stork" was founded in the United States, within the framework of which the facts of UFO sightings in the period from 1947 to 1952 were collected and investigated. All data collected and analyzed by the project participants are stored in the National Archives and Records Administration. Only an insignificant declassified part of "Aista" reports has been posted on the Internet for free. This is stated in the special project LIGA.net "The Truth Is Nearby", in which declassified documents about UFOs of the US Central Intelligence Agency are analyzed.
However, most of the classified data of the Aist project remain classified as classified.
Another project in which the United States was engaged in UFO research was the Blue Book project. It was conducted by the US Air Force from 1952 to 1970. The project represented the second wave of such research (the first included two similar projects - Sign and Grudge).
Among the project documents were photographs of unidentified flying objects.
