In the area of the Italian Swiss lake Lago Maggiore, famous for its resorts, the flight of an unidentified flying object was filmed. A strange disc-shaped aircraft appeared in the sky towards the night.

The peculiarities of the local relief (Lake Maggiore is located in the spurs of the Alps) did not allow tracing exactly where the aircraft came from. However, he was seen in several settlements at intervals of ten to fifteen minutes. According to eyewitnesses, the UFO moved through the air in jerks, from time to time hovering motionless and even approaching the ground, as if looking for something. The flight lasted for about an hour and a half, after which the Italian carabinieri ceased to record the arrival of messages about an unusual object.

Currently, the incident is being analyzed by specialists from the National UFO Center, the largest Italian ufological organization, which closely cooperates with colleagues from other countries. They do not exclude that the recent appearance of an unidentified flying object may be somehow connected with the events that took place in the vicinity of the lake more than eighty years ago.

In 1933, during the reign of the fascist dictator Benito Mussolini, an unidentified flying object crashed in the immediate vicinity of Lake Maggiore. The area of the fall was quickly cordoned off, the wreckage and remains of the ship's pilots were taken to one of the military bases. Mussolini planned to research them and use them for advanced development, but in the pre-war period there was not enough time for this, and after the end of World War II, all traces of the UFO crash disappeared. Presumably, they were confiscated and taken away by American or British soldiers.
