I got scared and began to retreat to the house. Grabbed and threw a ski pole at him. It turned around and went to a neighbor. Build like a badger. The head looks like a bear. Light brown. The coat was shiny.
At Maria Stepanovna's neighbor, an unknown creature attacked the dog:
- I hear the dogs bark. I go out, and it climbed into the dog's kennel. Our Mukhtar is five years old, he is twice his size. And it bit him so! He has strong teeth, short legs.

- They called and said: go shoot the one who bites the head off the dogs, - says Anatoly Komar, 33 years old. - I come, it sits in the yard. They didn't bark at me, but hissed. On the paws, jumpers, like those of an otter, the legs are short and strong. Large fangs. The tail of the fox. And he himself is so dense, well-fed. It was scary, but I approached about 5 meters and shot in the head.
He put the killed animal in a cellophane bag:
- 40 kilograms. Couldn't lift with one hand. They said that it was a steppe or Crimean dog, - continues Anatoly Komar. - And I think that with the current radiation, whatever you want can be. Probably some kind of mutant.
The body was taken to the regional veterinary clinic. The animal was found to be rabid. Experts could neither confirm nor deny that this is a mutant. But they say that the creature is significantly different from the dog.
- The chief hunting officer of the region comes to me. He says they killed some mutant, - says Mikhail Shakhrai, 61, director of the Khmelnytsky regional laboratory of veterinary medicine. - We have collected a commission. The animal has an elongated body, strong short curved legs, an enlarged head, large clicks. There could be an uncontrolled crossing. A mad dog rushes at all living things, but here for some reason it ate off its heads. I have been working in veterinary medicine for 40 years. But I can't explain it.
They did not perform an autopsy, they burned them in the crematorium. The regional sanitary and epidemiological station ordered to shoot the dogs in contact with the animal. People are getting medications for rabies.
