This strange story happened on the night of November 20, 2004. Since the man suspected that the case was related to an alien abduction, he sent the story to the NUFORC website, an American site that chronicles UFO and alien sightings.
The man does not indicate his name. During those years, he and his wife lived in Boca Raton, Florida.
“That evening my wife and I watched TV late on the first floor of our house. At about 1.15 am we turned off the TV and went upstairs to our bedroom. There, I could not fall asleep right away and then watched the National Geographic channel on TV in the bedroom for a while.
My wife was already asleep when I turned off the TV and went to bed too. It seems that I barely had time to close my eyes when I heard the agitated voice of my wife under my ear, who loudly asked me “Where have you been ?!”. Still awake, I replied “In bed, where else can I be?” And then my wife told me this strange disturbing story.
I managed to notice that when my wife woke me up, the clock showed 2.50. My wife suddenly woke up about an hour before that and she could not understand what woke her up, but immediately saw that she was alone in bed, and I was nowhere to be found. At first she decided that I went to the toilet, but 5 minutes passed, then 10 minutes, and I did not return, and then she got up and walked around the whole house.
She did not find me anywhere, and then she was already seriously scared. She even went as she was in her pajamas on the street to the house of the guards of our housing community and there she was told that they had not seen anyone who had left the community or entered the territory in the last hours.
But when my wife returned to her house, she suddenly found me sleeping in our bed, as if I had not disappeared anywhere.

The next morning, the wife spoke about this incident again. She said that she was sure that she did not dream of my disappearance and that I was really physically absent for about an hour in our house.
I consider myself a sane person, I don't have any mental disorders and I work in a private business. But I cannot explain what happened. To me it all sounds like a story from The Twilight Zone (60s American science fiction series). I don’t know what happened, and I don’t know where I was until I was away for about 40-60 minutes.
