A strange case or to see yourself from the outside

The story of Alexander Kovylkov, reserve officer:

1989, summer - our part of the Trans-Baikal Military District was disbanded and officers were scattered throughout the, at that time, the Union that had not yet collapsed. I was assigned to Krasnoyarsk.

Upon arrival in September at the location of the division, introducing myself to the commanders and chiefs, I was horrified: an abandoned garrison 18 km from the main base was assigned for the newly formed unit! No one has lived on this site for 12-15 years, everything was smashed and destroyed. The boxes of buildings and structures were without windows and doors, and a harsh Siberian winter awaited the officers and soldiers. The command of the division set the task to restore the buildings and allocated funds for this. The unit commander, political officer, foreman, me and eleven soldiers - these were the forces that had to carry out the order. And the terms were set aside very tough - to finish everything by the holiday of the Great October Revolution. Thus, we spent the day and spent the night in the unit, working like crazy.

In mid-October, the soldiers reported to me about a mysterious phenomenon at night: three or four kilometers from the location of the unit, they noticed a bright glow that lasted 30-40 seconds, then everything went out and a luminous point, similar to an illuminating rocket, went into the sky. We, the officers, thought and decided that it was carried out by helicopter pilots or reconnaissance groups. In the harsh everyday life, what happened was soon forgotten.

The same phenomenon happened again absolutely unexpectedly on the night of November 7-8, 1989. The day before, on November 5, the head of the division's political department arrived at the unit. He congratulated on the upcoming holiday, praised for the shock work and awarded the soldiers and officers who distinguished themselves in construction. We distributed the holiday outfits, and it fell to me to be on duty from 7 to 8 November.

Winter in the Krasnoyarsk Territory begins in early - mid-October, and the snow cover falls on the ground until spring. The air temperature drops at night to 15-18 degrees below zero. The duties of the person on duty included a mandatory check of heating mains, a boiler room, a car park and other structures. The duty officer was in the barracks and, leaving with a check on the objects, it was necessary to make an entry in the journal.

After receiving instructions from the commander, I took over the duty and got down to my work: I walked around the location of the unit, had dinner in the dining room, evening check-up and lights out. By phone, I made a report to the officer on duty about the state of affairs. After waiting for the personnel to calm down and fall asleep, I made an entry in the check log: "I left at 23.45 to check the boiler room and the vehicle fleet." Coming out, he warned the orderly company about the route of movement and went into the street. The night was quiet, starry, frost about 10 degrees. The distance from the barracks to the boiler house along the road through the taiga is 800 meters, and from the boiler house to the car park 1500-1600 meters.

Promotional video:

When I left the boiler room, after 250-300 meters on the road, I saw three silhouettes: two of the same height, about 180-190 cm, the third is about 160 cm lower, and it belonged to a teenager or girl. I did not take the lantern, as I knew the road well, and the moon was shining brightly. What was surprising was the appearance and clothing of the walkers: their constitution was disproportionate: the body of the long lower limbs, the arms, thin and long, reached the level of the knees, the elongated head without a neck immediately passed into the body.

In those parts of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, prisoners escaped. But the Ministry of Internal Affairs always informed the army garrisons about this. Then where could this trio come from? I did not receive any information about escapes during the briefing. They were dressed in a kind of wetsuits and, most importantly, emitted a faint phosphorescent greenish-blue light!

Taking them for terrorists or saboteurs, I grabbed the holster with a pistol, trying to unfasten it, and shouted loudly: “Stop! I will shoot! The strangers were 100-120 meters away, the pistol was ineffective at this distance, but such actions were prescribed by the instructions. What happened next, I reconstructed from memory over the next three or four years, but never came to complete clarity.

On my command and the convulsive movement of my hand to the holster, there was a hissing sound (similar to an opening bottle of champagne), and I received a strong blow in the chest! I don't know if I lost consciousness even for a moment or not, but everything that I saw and remembered was as if from the outside.

I and my essence were separated - my physical body existed separately, in an overcoat, with a harness with a holster, and separately my vision, which recorded everything that was happening.

The first thing I saw from the side was my body, stretched out in flight (?) With arms outstretched to the sides, face down, without a hat. The body moved at high speed along the pipe, as if screwing into it. It was light all around, a grayish-greenish light emanating from the walls. It felt as if a huge vacuum cleaner was sucking me into the unknown. The pipe bent, making sharp turns. But what is curious: I never once touched the walls of this pipe, and at such an incredible speed of movement, the hair and the hem of the greatcoat remained completely motionless. They had chrome boots on their feet, but they did not have heels (?).

The next shot is a room that looks like a ward in a hospital or operating room. Dazzling white walls and bright light that does not cast shadows. The walls are completely bare - no lamps, no holes. In the center of this domed oval room was a table (like in a morgue). On it lay my body, face down, in full uniform of the attendant, with a bandage on the sleeve.

But, oh horror! The skull was open like an ordinary box, and the lid was thrown back from the back of the head to the forehead! I saw my brains! The gray-yellow, gelatinous mass shuddered slightly, like jelly or jellied meat. I did not see blood; my body felt cold coming from the table. Then from the air, from the void, these three creatures materialized in diving suits, their faces were covered with masks. They stood around the table and looked at my brain.

The third frame is the same brightly lit room with three unknowns at the table, on which, also motionless, is my body with an open skull. One tall creature held a pin with a bright red, shimmering head in its hands with long thin fingers. With this pin, he made five pin-pricks in the open brain. After the third injection (in the region of the cerebellum), the brain twitched, although I did not feel pain. Vision began to fade - these three disappeared into the air like the smoke of a cigarette.

I came to myself in the barracks (?), Sitting on a chair, from a very weighty pat on the cheeks. Opening my eyes, I saw before me the commanding company of junior sergeant Maksud Mamedov and soldier Vasily Ivashin, frightened to death.

They vigorously tried to bring me to my senses, gazing with horror at the emerging divisional duty officer. At the same time, Vasily slapped me on the cheeks and shook me by the shoulders, and Mamedov devoutly lamented: “Ay, Alla! Captain, where are you from?...

I automatically looked at the front door of the barracks - it was closed from the inside by two powerful iron bolts! A large electronic-mechanical clock "Yantar" hung over the doors, it showed 00.07. I looked at the wrist digital clock - it was at the same time … I was absent from the barracks for exactly 22 minutes. Later, I made the same journey with the timing to the boiler room. Everything taken together took 17 minutes, that is, it turned out that 5 minutes. I was not known where and how I got into the barracks room with the door closed - it is not clear!

00.32 - powerful blows were heard at the door of the barracks and swearing was heard in "truly Russian, unprintable" language. The voice was from the unit commander, Major V. S. Ostapyuk. Bursting into the barracks, he pounced on me and the orderly in the company with questions about what had happened in the unit. After listening to our reports, as well as the man on duty in the park and the stokers, he calmed down and took me to his office.

I told him about my incident. The commander, in turn, said that he and his wife were visiting a comrade, as expected, they drank in honor of the holiday, took a steam bath in the bathhouse and at 23.45 departed in a UAZ car. Approaching the location of the unit, they saw a spectacle, from which they were speechless: a fiery black ball, ominously overflowing and illuminating everything around, went into the starry cloudless sky! Having estimated the place from which the balloon could rise, the major decided that one of the steam boilers in our boiler room had exploded! Having ordered the driver to turn off the main road, he burst into the location of the unit and ripped me off for missing the "sabotage".

Having calmed down, the major sent his wife home by car, and he himself remained in the barracks. “Let's walk along your route,” he said. Then, looking at my legs in surprise, he asked: - Where are your heels? I mumbled something in reply.

Taking the lanterns, we examined in detail all my way. On the snowy road from the boiler room to the car park, my tracks were clearly visible and ended! A man walked, leaving footprints in the snow, and then took and evaporated, flew away. But the most curious thing is that we found my right heel. In its center there was a two-centimeter hole with smooth, melted edges. It seems that the heel was pierced with a red-hot iron rod. There were no fastening nails.

Here, at the beginning of the second night of November 8, 1989, the commander, who believed in everything that had happened to me, uttered the word "UFO" for the first time. Returning to the barracks, we decided not to report what had happened to anyone, but to keep our mouths shut. The fact is that the secret order of the Chief Marshal of Artillery was still in effect to immediately report N. F. Tolubko to the Central Command Post of the Strategic Missile Forces and the KGB department about all incomprehensible and inexplicable phenomena. This order instructed in the event of a meeting with such a phenomenon not to show aggressiveness, not to open fire to kill, but to observe what is happening and record the events.

From experience, we knew what would follow after such statements: a bunch of commissions arrive, they ask various stupid questions, and as a result, the applicant becomes undesirable. Therefore, we decided to keep silent and in the same spirit we instructed the daytime company.

After this garrison, I had two others - in the Ukraine and in the Perm region. On vacation I traveled a lot: I went to the mountains, went down the rivers in a kayak, climbed with cavers. He was on duty all over the country and did not feel any negative consequences from that incident. My wife, however, noticed one strange thing - I began to see in the dark. Moreover, my friends, tourists, jokingly began to call me "barometer": I accurately predicted the weather on hikes. By about 1996, these abilities gradually faded on their own.

And one more thing: in 1990 I was going to enter the academy and passed a medical examination. I needed to take a picture of the sinuses. So, I did it twice, and twice the pictures were exposed. The head of the X-ray department, Lieutenant Colonel A. Yudin, scolded the poor-quality film, picked up a picture of the skull, more or less similar to mine, and handed it to me. But for some reason the pictures of other officers on the film of this party were obtained without complications …
