Scientists from Belgium have named the exact date of Armageddon. Researchers from the University of Leuven published the results of their observations in scientific periodicals.
Experts carried out their calculations on the basis of L2 Puppis data, since this celestial body has a mass similar to our Sun. The planet will sink into oblivion almost immediately after the transformation of the Sun into a cosmic giant, and before that it will simply stop rotating in a given orbit. The death of the planet is scheduled in 5 billion years. Venus and Mercury will also fall into the abyss of destruction, on which the rebirth of the Sun will have a similar effect.
Previously, scientists reported a thinning of the Earth's atmosphere, which in turn would turn the planet into a desert with no signs of life. This can be seen on Mars now. As a result of observations of WD 1145 + 017, it became known that the Sun was the cause of the death of the star, and the particles of the deceased celestial body destroyed the nearby planet.
Researchers believe that a similar fate awaits our planet, but after ultra-high temperatures kill all life.
