British physicist Stephen Hawking is known not only for his purely scientific achievements, but also for numerous statements and predictions about the future of the planet and humanity.

According to the scientist, this future cannot be called bright. Hawking “promises” humanity many global problems that will ultimately lead to irreversible catastrophe.

In November 2016, he announced the arrival of "the most dangerous time on the planet" and stated that humanity is unlikely to survive the next thousand years if it remains on Earth. Hawking does not believe in the ability of the world community and world science to save the situation, and offers the most acceptable, in his opinion, alternative: the search for new planets suitable for life.

In March this year, the scientist made a number of new statements. Thus, he called on states to control new technologies, to use them wisely and to prevent the death of humanity due to nuclear or biological war.

Hawking allowed the creation of "some form of world government," but this, according to the physicist, will create even more problems. In particular, tyranny may arise, seeking to control all spheres of society.

Speaking about other dangers to humanity as such, the scientist drew attention to the growing social inequality, the widening gap between the living standards of the elites and the working class. He also called the development of technology not only positive, but also dangerous, as it "allows very small groups of people to make huge profits when hiring a very small number of people."

“Perhaps for several hundred years we have been organizing colonies of people around other stars, but now we have only one planet, and we must work together to protect it,” the physicist said.

With a request to assess the fears expressed by the world famous scientist, as well as to voice their own vision of the future of humanity and the Earth, "Observer" turned to the Ukrainian philosopher, ecologist and astrologer.

Miroslav Popovich, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, philosopher: Do not believe that everything will "resolve", and start with yourself

“Hawking listed almost all the factors that can lead to the death of humanity. And indeed it is.

In every person there is a belief that everything will somehow "dissolve", that everything will be fine. But this belief has no foundation. Indeed, we are able to destroy ourselves or destroy the world around us - at least, all life on the planet.

This is not an artistic device, it is a reality that, unfortunately, the people at the helm are not aware of. In this sense, Putin is the best example of how you can drive your country and yourself into despair. Moreover, the only way out that he sees is to destroy everything around.

I think Hawking is right about world government as well. It will duplicate all the dangers. At the same time, the risks will not decrease at all, but, on the contrary, will only increase.

The scientist's forecasts contain a lot of exoticism, something that should hit the nerves, but basically this is a businesslike and very calm analysis of the deadly dangers that arise before humanity every year.

What can we do to prevent disaster? I think we will not come up with anything new in the struggle for existence: in every corner where we live, we must make sure that it is clean, so that walls do not crack and so on. These are small things that we can do. All this daily everyday work, in fact, is the only recipe.

But we want great things. If you save, then save everyone with a huge effort of will. This is the aspiration that humanity has inherited since the days of the Enlightenment.

As for Ukraine … We would have to survive this Donbass epic, and it seems that nothing else is needed. Yes, there will be new problems, not to mention the fact that Crimea remains annexed. But all these problems can be solved gradually, step by step, step by step."

Volodymyr Boreyko, Director of the Kiev Ecological and Cultural Center: On the way to a global catastrophe Ukraine is "ahead of the rest"

“The greatest danger from the point of view of the survival of mankind, in my opinion, is the threat of nuclear war, as well as the pollution of water, air and the environment in general. Since a person as a biological species for existence and evolution needs a certain temperature, a certain purity of air and purity of water. As soon as he is deprived of all this, diseases begin, and eventually he dies.

Is Ukraine far from a global catastrophe? Ukraine is among the countries that are “ahead of the whole planet”. Since there are no positive trends: morbidity is high, infant mortality is high, life expectancy is falling. The population is shrinking not only due to emigration, but also due to disease. People are not able to buy the necessary medicines for themselves, they work three jobs, get nervous, get sick, do not rest, are constantly under stress, including from the prices in stores.

All this, of course, has a negative effect on people, and journalists also add "chernukha": they killed there, raped there, cut them there … Although there are a lot of positive examples, including in ecology, they still focus on the bad.

They say that if God wants to destroy a person, first of all, he deprives him of reason. Unfortunately, we are seeing this. And the fact that our political parties and leading leaders do not think about ecology at all also confirms the correctness and wisdom of this saying."

Vlad Ross, astrologer: Enough for our age

“With all due respect, Hawking still thinks in terms of the 20th century. Although he is a scientist, he is wrong. The Age of Pisces is over. He is afraid of robots, but in fact, the era of Aquarius, which began in 2003, is accompanied by the development of technology, the generation of new ideas. Therefore, robotization cannot lead humanity to something catastrophic. On the contrary, by the middle of the 21st century, people will practically stop working - robots will do almost all the work for them, and this will be absolutely normal. The concept of going to work from 8 to 17 will practically die out by the XXII century.

In addition, the era of Aquarius is the era of the conquest of other planets. People will learn to find "pockets of time" and reach planets not only in the solar system, but also in other galaxies. We think that we have never flown to other planets, but our great-great-great-ancestors knew how to do this and brought civilization to planet Earth.

Unfortunately, most physicists and mathematicians are materialists. They do not have enough imagination to assume that, in addition to the physical body, a person has other bodies. Almost all of them do not believe in the divine essence of creation. But the very fact of human life and life on the planet - isn't it amazing? They take it for granted, they believe in the Big Bang. But who created this explosion? They don't think about it.

If we talk about how long is allotted to humanity, then I want to remind you of a prophet named Black Spider. He announced the annual prophecies until 6000. The predictions of Nostradamus were written before 4000. Even if there are some apocalypses - and they will definitely be, this, in particular, is said in the New Testament Revelation of John - there will be enough for our age."

In December 2016, Observer. TV live on Stephen Hawking's terrible prediction that CERN physicists working at the Large Hadron Collider commented on

The head of the ALICE collaboration at the Large Hadron Collider CERN, Professor Paolo Giubellino and Professor of the Nikolai Bogolyubov Institute for Theoretical Physics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Gennady Zinoviev, assured: the life of the planet Earth is limited, but to say that mankind has only a thousand years left in stock, incorrect; over the previous millennia of its existence, mankind has demonstrated an amazing ability to survive and adapt in any conditions.
