Former NASA astronaut Dr. Edgar Mitchell claimed that peaceful aliens visited Earth to prevent a war between the United States and Russia.
As reported by Anonhq.com, in an interview with the Mirror, the former astronaut stated: "White Sands" (New Mexico) was the territory for testing nuclear weapons - and this is what interested the aliens. They wanted to know about our military capabilities."
He also stated that the aliens wanted to keep us out of war and were willing to help the Americans and Russians establish peaceful relations with each other.
The sixth person to be on the moon also claims that other staff will tell you the same. He says that in discussions with many of his colleagues who worked in the bunkers in the late 1940s, they stated that they witnessed unidentified flying objects flying over missile silos, only to turn them off.
He also claims that some officers on the Pacific coast told him how the aliens were going to shoot down their rockets using their spaceships.
For many of us, these statements are difficult to accept; however, the former astronaut was convinced of the existence of intelligent life in space.
When asked who the aliens looked like, Mitchell replied that "they were very typical: a big head with big eyes, a face with small features and abnormal bodies."
Mitchell also believes that the so-called gray humanoids landed at Roswell on July 7, 1947, and several of them were captured. Mitchell claims the American government is lying about the landing because it does not want advanced technology to fall into the hands of the Russians or any other US adversaries.

“The ideal plan of action was to just lie about it and keep the technology to yourself. They marked everything connected with this with the “top secret” stamp. Mitchell says this created an illusion for the public and for government officials.
However, nine years ago, NASA said they were neither tracking unidentified flying objects, nor were the organization hiding secrets about alien life on Earth. NASA also said that they do not share Dr. Edgar Mitchell's views on the UFO issue or alien arrival on Earth.
