The PRC has made progress in the process of creating artificial intelligence, Chinese Minister of Science and Technology Wan Gang said at a press conference on Saturday.
According to him, the creation and development of artificial intelligence is an area that the authorities will pay attention to for a long time. Wan Gang noted that many Chinese companies are developing artificial intelligence systems, such as Huawei, Alibaba and Biadu.
“Since last year, there has been important progress in areas such as deep learning (artificial intelligence) technology, integration processes, human-machine coordination, and swarm intelligence,” Wan Gang said.
According to the Minister of Science and Technology of the PRC, artificial intelligence in the future can lead to socio-economic development, improve people's lives, especially in the field of precision medicine, care for the elderly.
According to the draft plan for the socio-economic development of China for 2017, the country's authorities plan to accelerate the technology for creating artificial intelligence and research and development in other industries.
