When Kumari Kunti was 9 years old, she started having problems with her left leg. Further into adolescence, her limbs continued to weaken, and her bones continued to bend. From 120 centimeters her body "shrank" to only 60 centimeters in height, the girl lies all the time and can hardly move.
Her whole life is now like the existence of a baby. For a long time, doctors could not understand what kind of ailment caused such changes, and in the end it was decided that this was the fault of osteogenesis imperfecta - a group of rare genetic disorders, primarily characterized by increased fragility of bones. People with this diagnosis are sometimes called "glass people".
Despite the horror of her condition, Kumari still hopes that she can be helped. She lives with her mother in the countryside in Chatra District, Jharkhand State in eastern India, and wants to consult doctors from a major city.
