What if the alien life that humanity is so obsessed with finding is ubiquitous? A scientist from Columbia University believes that intelligent life from other worlds has probably disappeared into the physical world, and people cannot fix it.
The laws of physics are not what they seem. It is possible that the Universe functions thanks to the intellect of an alien civilization, which is so perfect that it “moved” itself into the quantum sphere, disappearing from the world familiar to the human view.
Caleb Scarfe, an astrobiologist at Columbia University, has suggested that the existence of such an intelligence could solve many of the universe's greatest mysteries. For example, why we still can't find evidence of alien life outside of Earth. “Perhaps life is manifested not only externally. Maybe it is around, built into what we perceive as given, into our reality … In other words, life can be not only in equations. It could be the equation itself,”wrote Scarfe for Nautilus magazine.
The astrobiologist's suspicions arose on the basis of information about dark matter - this is a hypothetical form of matter that does not emit electromagnetic radiation and does not interact directly with it, which makes it impossible to observe it directly.
The scientist recalled the theory of technological singularity, which assumes that civilization gains the ability to "assemble itself into new forms." “If you belong to a civilization that has learned to encode various living systems in substrates, all that remains is to create a system for transmitting data from normal matter to dark matter. For example, a 3D printer for dark matter,”explains Scarfe.
In his opinion, the discrepancy between astronomical models and observations of this form of matter indicates not only its originality, but also that it is being artificially manipulated, reports The Daily Mail.
The activity of the hidden alien intelligence can also cause the expansion of the universe, which began about 5 billion years ago. Perhaps this is how supercivilization helps the Universe cool faster.
At the same time, adds Scarfe, life strives not to be destroyed, so the space-controlling life form could find a backup system, and in order to ensure its survival, it spread in the quantum realm, preserving its data in photons traveling throughout the Universe. “We do not recognize the advanced form of life, because it is found everywhere and in everything that we consider as the original, natural world,” the astrobiologist concludes.
