Lake Taimyr is unique in its kind. The world's northernmost lake, located in the Krasnoyarsk Territory on the Taimyr Peninsula, is the fourth largest lake in the country and the second in its Asian part. An important fact is that the reservoir is located within the boundaries of the Taimyr Reserve, and therefore there are no settlements nearby. And among those that are located closest to the lake are Norilsk and Dudinka. Tourists can get to Taimyr thanks to the airport in Khatanga.
