Chinese doctors showed pictures of the lungs affected by the 2019-nCoV coronavirus. The results of computed tomography of a 33-year-old patient are published in the journal Radiology.

It is noted that the woman worked in the city of Wuhan, where the coronavirus was first registered. She arrived in Lanzhou six days before going to the hospital. On admission, she had a fever and wheezing in her lungs.

She was diagnosed with 2019-nCoV pneumonia based on epidemiological characteristics, clinical manifestations, and computed tomography results. After three days of treatment, the affected area of the lungs enlarged (Figure B) - it appears on the images as opacities.

As of midnight Sunday, February 2, in addition to China, the disease was detected in 23 more countries, including Russia. The World Health Organization has declared the coronavirus outbreak an international emergency. 14.38 thousand people were infected, more than 300 deaths were recorded.

At the end of December, the Chinese authorities recorded an outbreak of the 2019-nCoV coronavirus in Wuhan. More than a thousand foreigners are in the quarantined industrial center. Foreign countries, including the USA and Japan, take out their citizens on special flights. The virus is known to be able to spread from person to person.
