Humanity has long ago decided the question of whether there is life after death. "There is!" - all religions and the majority of philosophical teachings affirm without exception. However, with the spread of atheism, this question arose again, and scientists were divided into two opposite camps. And while they argue, news from the other world continues to come to believers and unbelievers, and it is hardly worth brushing off this fact, referring to the dishonesty or abnormality of contactees with the other world
“There is an afterlife,” Wanga argued, “the dead continue to live a new life in the afterlife. Their souls are among us. There are many confirmations of this. For example, in her autobiographical book Natalya Petrovna Bekhtereva, an academician, a world-renowned neurophysiologist, told how, after her husband's death, his ghost began to come to her not only at night, but also during the day, sharing important thoughts that he did not have time to express during his lifetime.
Bekhtereva assures that she was not in the least scared, since she did not doubt the reality of what was happening.
The ghost was well aware of the life of Natalya Petrovna, everything he predicted came true to the extent that the lost documents ended up in the place to which he pointed. “I don’t know what it was - a product of the work of my mind, which was in a state of stress, or something else,” Bekhtereva summed up. - One thing I know for sure - he did not imagine.
“If the assumption about the materiality of the soul is correct,” writes the American physicist David Suchett, “then“guests from the past”are not a play of a frustrated imagination, but a completely real phenomenon.” According to the scientist, who actually repeated the words of Bekhtereva, contact with the dead is not available to everyone, but
only to people who are in a special state of altered consciousness that occurs under severe stress or in an extreme situation.
Perhaps, however, it also occurs when the messenger from the "otherworld" has an urgent need to get in touch with living people.
They are only on business
Edgar Cayce, who made more than 25 thousand predictions, became widely known due to the fact that, entering an altered state of consciousness, he diagnosed the disease to strangers and indicated ways to cure ailments with an accuracy of 80-100%. Struck by an incurable disease, he died on the day and hour indicated by him, promising to be reborn in 2100 and personally verify the truth of his prophecies. In what form the rebirth will take place, the "sleeping prophet" did not specify, but the spirits, or ghosts of the dead, from the other world sometimes do return.
At the beginning of 2005, a story about a resident of Novosibirsk, Maria Lazarevna Babushkina, was broadcast on television, who went with the search engines to the place of death of her father, a participant in the Great Patriotic War. The woman said that her father's voice led her, and it was thanks to him that the burial site was discovered.
In recent years, the media have repeatedly reported anomalous phenomena in Myasnoy Bor (Novgorod Region), where the spirits of soldiers not buried as they should go to single search engines and tell them where to dig. Their information usually turns out to be reliable.
Often, guests from the other world are deceased pets, which sometimes save the lives of the owners. In the late 1990s, the American magazine "Weekly World News" told about a car driver driving at high speed along a mountain serpentine. Suddenly, before the next turn, a dog ran across the road. If he hadn't braked sharply, the car would have probably crashed into a huge block of stone that fell from the top of the mountain. The driver's savior was the ghost of his dog, who had died for several years.
Our brain is just a tool
The authoritative British scientific journal "The Lancet" published an article "Posthumous experience of people who survived after cardiac arrest: a targeted study of the situation by a special task force in the Netherlands." The main conclusion made by the authors of the article is that consciousness is not an integral function of the brain and continues to exist even when it ceases to function. That is, the brain is not a thinking matter, but just a communicator. A group of British researchers from a clinic in Southampton came to the same conclusions.

Galina Lagoda from Kaliningrad got into a car accident and was taken to the regional hospital with severe brain injuries, ruptured kidneys, lungs, spleen and liver, and many fractures. The heart stopped, the pressure was at zero.

Later, the woman showed a sense of purpose. She was especially successful in healing fractures and ulcers. Galina lives in harmony with herself, believes in God and is not afraid of the transition to another world.
The same, however, can be said about most other people, one way or another, received news from the "otherworld".

32% of American adults believe that the dead can return - in the form of ghosts and spirits, and 25% believe that the dead can be contacted.
Almost two-thirds of Germans believe in an afterlife, and only 32% of German residents consider such thoughts absurd. Such data were published by the Bertelsmann Foundation.
East Germans are more skeptical about the idea of the existence of an afterlife - about 60% of the population reject such thoughts. As for the ardent supporters of the idea of the existence of another world, in the east of the country there are only 13% of them.
The Foundation noted that women are more likely to believe in life after death than men.
Different generations of Germans hold different opinions about the other world. The survey showed that about 37% of elderly people expect the continuation of the soul's life after death, and among young respondents, 59% believe this.
According to the Institute of Mental Health of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences, about 65% of widows see the ghosts of their deceased husbands, up to 75% of parents who have lost a child see him, play and talk with him.
Interest in the paranormal depends on the level of education. They attract Russians with higher education 1.2 times more often than people with specialized secondary education, and 1.5 times more often than citizens with less than secondary education.
