This week, the legendary monster from a small town in South Carolina came to life again in a strange video filmed by a local hunter. The video shows the silhouette (highly blurred) of an unknown creature making its way through the thicket of the forest.

The footage was provided by a hunter who claims to have spotted an upright lizard while hunting raccoons.

The stories of an unnatural hominid known as the humanoid lizard and dubbed the Lizardman have reached us from Bishopville for nearly thirty years.

The most famous human encounter with this creature is perhaps the case that occurred in the summer of 1988, when 17-year-old Christopher Davis was forced to stop his car near the Scape Ore Swamp at 2 am due to a puncture.

When he changed the wheel, he suddenly heard a strange noise in the bushes nearby, and a moment later a lizard was standing in front of him on two legs, the size of a man. Frightened, Davis jumped back into the car and tried to drive away the unknown beast, but the lizard was not afraid of either the sound of the signal or the headlights. He climbed onto the roof of the car and terrorized the guy for a while.

Later, when inspecting the car, scratches were found on the roof, one mirror was also broken and the wing was bent.

The writer John Keel has collected about 20 cases of sightings of humanoids with skin like reptiles throughout the United States. Cryptozoologist Karl Shuker, considering these cases in his book "The Unknown", suggests that the lizard man is a creature descended from dinosaurs in the course of evolution.
