The life of a modern person is subject to strict rules and regulations. Years fly by in the cycle of important affairs and worries, day after day, and life becomes like a well-oiled mechanism with a pre-thought out algorithm of actions and events. But sometimes something happens in people's lives that makes them stop running and think a little about whether they really understand the world in which they live.
So, for example, leaving a dusty and noisy metropolis and finding himself in a quiet forest wilderness, a person, without expecting it, sometimes becomes a witness to phenomena that do not have a logical rational explanation, but which are described in detail in the folk epic, because surely everyone remembers that the forest is this is the territory of the Slavic deity Leshy.

Slavic culture originated several thousand years ago, it is one of the most ancient and mystical cultures, to this day it keeps many secrets and secrets. The Slavs have always been a very developed and wise people with their own ideas about the world order, people worshiped pagan gods and the forces of nature. Being in harmony with the world around them, they knew their true place and purpose.
Each deity in Slavic mythology was responsible for its own element, it had its own character, habits and weaknesses. However, despite the fact that since 988 Russia was officially listed as a Christian state, the struggle against "polytheism" continued for several centuries. Throughout Russia, Slavic idols and temples were destroyed, and the pagans themselves were forced to pray to the only God who came to earth for the salvation of people.
The new religion was accepted with difficulty, and the Slavs, not wanting to forget their true faith, tried to preserve and pass on knowledge to the next generations in the ways available to them: in legends and legends, in songs, in ornaments on clothes and wooden architecture, in toys. However, over time, knowledge began to be lost, and the images of the gods were exaggerated to silly characters from fairy tales. Many centuries have passed, and now the descendants of the great Slavs perceive Veles, Bannik, Makosh, Brownie, Leshy, as a funny invention for children.

People have lost faith in their gods, but perhaps those, albeit unfairly forgotten, have not ceased to exist and from time to time remind a person that he is still in their power and on their territory.
History knows many mysterious cases that happened to a man in the forest. The most frequent occurrences are when an experienced traveler, finding himself in a familiar forest thicket, suddenly cannot find a way out of it. No matter how much the unfortunate person gets up on the right path, it invariably leads him to the same place. Such an obsession can last from several hours to several days, after which the exhausted and distraught traveler finally finds his way.
There are other events in the forest that cannot be explained logically. For example, there are cases when, during a severe thunderstorm, a lightning discharge with a power of tens of thousands of volts hits a person who finds himself in a forest thicket. By all laws of physics and biology, such a discharge is fatal for any living being. However, it is not known for what reasons, the traveler remains safe and sound.
Inhabitants of Siberian villages tell stories how little children, who went into the forest without the knowledge of their parents, lost their way and wandered for several days without water or food in the taiga filled with wild animals, and eventually came out on the road unharmed.
People who worship Slavic deities are sure that all these inexplicable phenomena that occur with a person in the wilderness are the activity of Leshy. This spirit is responsible for order and harmony in the forest, protects trees, land and animals. He does not like people who ravage his possessions, so sometimes he plays evil jokes with those who burn fires in thickets, break trees, take more mushrooms and berries than necessary. In this case, a person can be punished by long wanderings and hunger, frightened by the fear of death. However, Leshy, in the understanding of the Russians, was never an evil and aggressive deity, therefore in some cases he is able to help people in trouble on his territory: to evade a lightning strike or save predators from hunger and teeth.
Skeptics who do not recognize the existence of spirits and deities try to explain unusual events from a logical point of view. For example, a long wandering through the forest can be caused by disorientation in space, caused by heat, thirst, anxiety and claustrophobia. A lightning discharge that left a person alive may be a happy accident, when the current passed only over the wet surface of the body (clothing and skin) and its charge went into the ground. The babies who miraculously survived in the taiga are the result of the activation of the internal resources of the body, when in a stressful situation a person gains strength and endurance that is not characteristic of him under normal circumstances.
Mysterious events occur every day in the world, which can be interpreted in different ways. Someone prefers to believe in modern exact sciences, someone trusts the experience and wisdom of their ancestors. Which side to choose, people decide for themselves, but it is best to find harmony in this world, using modern knowledge and technology, to listen to the experience of the wise Slavic ancestors.
