Ufologists have long been familiar with the phenomenon of invisible obstacles that appear around UFOs after they land. But for some reason, cases of the appearance of exactly the same invisible fences around … nothing. Around forest, meadow or bare plain. What for? Are aliens operating there too, or is it just that "invisible entities" want to remain "untouchable"?
"Walls" on the roads
In November 1960, Mrs. Dorothy Strong took a taxi along one of the Otterburn roads in Nortuneberland. She drove just over those places where a great battle took place in the XIV century. Later, the woman described that all of a sudden, “all of a sudden, the engine of the car stalled, the counter began to spin like mad, and it seemed to me that she ran into an invisible wall. From all sides we were surrounded by soldiers (!), Who then disappeared into thin air. After the publication of this incident in the press, it turned out that local residents also faced an invisible obstacle at this place more than once.
In 1975, a similar wall was erected near a car park in Durham, Northern England. At least 4 drivers tried to drive their cars in reverse to an empty seat, but ran into an invisible obstacle. Mrs. Dilis Kant described her feelings as follows: "As if you are driving a wheel on the sidewalk, but … there is no sidewalk!" As soon as the police arrived to find out, the strange effect stopped.
Some even manage to touch the seemingly transparent walls! If the wall is even slightly cloudy, as if cellophane-mesh in appearance, then it often burns fingers, as it was in 1989 with 16-year-old Natasha from Nalchik (someone tried to lift her into the air with such a transparent wall); but most often such obstacles resemble “something elastic, such as rubber, on a steel lining”, if you press a little harder, you will feel further an absolutely unyielding obstacle. But in both cases the ephemeral wall is an excellent one-sided sound insulator.

Soundproof "walls" and "traps"
Speaking of soundproof walls. In Gallatin (USA) there was a case of a 'disappearance of a person, after which for a long time seekers heard his screams. Judge August Peck disappeared, and he disappeared right in front of his friend David Lang, to whom he was going to visit. In addition to Lang, who looked out of the window, numerous neighbors saw the disappearance of the judge. At first they thought that Peck had fallen into some kind of pit, they searched the entire meadow with an area of about 16 hectares, but no pits were found. After a while, Lang's children discovered: where the judge had disappeared, the grazing animals did not touch the grass, leaving it uneaten on a flat round area with a diameter of 6 m. There, in this circle, the children heard the judge's cries for help.
Since then, screams, as if coming from the depths, were heard every day, but gradually they became quieter and quieter.
Unfortunately, the reports of this incident did not indicate whether people entered the circle … Judging by the cases below, there are “circles” where it is not so easy and easy to go, if at all possible.
In 1935, in Mayo, England, near a hill known in the area as "Fort of the Fairies", a maid girl disappeared and was sent on business to a nearby village. The search was unsuccessful, but the disappeared herself soon returned home exhausted and told an amazing story: as soon as she wanted to leave the forest into the clearing, she felt "a strange jolt, it came from the inside rather than outside."
The girl again unsuccessfully tried to go to the hillside, then decided to do it where she first entered the forest, she returned and … felt that she was "surrounded by an invisible wall, through which she could not pass." She stayed in a transparent trap for several hours, constantly running her hands along the hard walls and looking for a way out. Soon, groups of rescuers appeared, people walked less than 20 yards (18m), but did not see the girl waving her arms and did not hear her heart-rending cries for help. At the same time, she herself heard every word of those on the other side of the wall.
When the people left, the wall suddenly disappeared completely or partially, the girl did not begin to clarify, without feeling the usual obstacle with her hand, she rushed out of the invisible trap [Dermot McManus. Middle Kingdom, 1973].
In July 1998, in the Devil's Lair during the 26th Medveditsa expedition, 6 people also faced a similar situation: 4 people (A. Lipkin, A, Gutenev, I, Teimyan, P. Chernobrov) perfectly heard and saw those who appeared next to 2 of them (A. Mkhitaryan, B. Grigoriev), although they did not see or hear the cries of the first for a long time. Immediately the voices of other participants in the campaign were heard, who saw their leader, as if “emerging from nowhere” …
Magical "walls"
The mention of damn places and "fort of fairies" in the previous cases was not accidental at all. As you might expect, such phenomena have always been traced throughout history. It was believed, for example, that fairies could well have erected a transparent forbidden wall on the road leading to their kingdom; ancient wisdom says that if you run into an invisible obstacle at full gallop, immediately look ahead without blinking between the ears of your horse and you may see a round dance of fairies or devils who stopped you. (Why, between the ears of a horse, most likely a horse, like all animals, unlike adults, sees these "invisible" entities ").
Witches have also done the same successfully, for example, in retaliation for refusing to give them a ride in a cart. But all of them taken together turned out to be powerless against the same defense put up by a skillful hand. Remember Gogol's "Viy" based on folk legends: there no evil spirits could penetrate into the circle outlined by Khoma until one day a drunken Khoma depicted him as full of holes. Others skillfully used ancient knowledge. So, the famous Thomas Aquinas, who learned magic from Albert the Great, according to legend, buried a copper horse specially cast for this, after which not a single cart passed under his windows and no noise distracted him from his thoughts.
There are even references to insurmountable walls in the Old Testament. Balaam, whom God forbade to move any road, disobeyed, but could not move a meter. At first, his donkey flatly refused to go further under any torture, then every time the "Angel of the Lord" blocked the way.
Around 1720, General Andrew Jackson once decided to personally verify the "tricks of evil spirits" near Bell's farm in Tennessee (USA). As soon as he approached the enchanted place, as "the wheels of the carriage seemed to be frozen into the ground," no matter how many accompanying general whipped the horses, they did not move. Suddenly, everyone clearly heard someone's voice: "All right, General, the carriage can go!", And the carriage immediately started.
Sometimes such walls not only appear and disappear, but also "breathe", ie. change their shape and geometry. There are many known cases when invisible forces unexpectedly began to put pressure on cars, and they were forced to abruptly move out anywhere. Such incidents, according to Fort, were extremely numerous in April-May 1927. In Sunbury (Ontario, Canada) Mrs. Selina Legris described her feelings to the police in this way; “Some invisible force lifted my car and threw it with force over the center line of the road…”.
A certain Parisian woman, at the beginning of this century, complained to a judge that an invisible force makes her kneel down on all fours every time she enters her apartment.
Taking the woman for a madman, the court detained her, and sent an official to the apartment. However, her uncle, nephew and neighbors confirmed her story word for word. The concierge "finished off" the court with her testimony: "I thought my tenants were crazy, but when I entered them, I found myself walking on all fours!" The magistrate was very attentive to the mysterious story and ordered that all rooms be disinfected [Daily Mail, 1907, May 1]. "Repulsive" places
Now scientists have the opportunity to take revenge for the once missed opportunity to unravel the mystery. More recently, they became interested in strange phenomena occurring near Megurz Hill (Bacau, Romania). Several years ago, a large treasure was found there (2000 silver coins of the era of the Roman emperor Trajan), then a mysterious blue flame was noticed over Megurz (in Romanian - "mound"). According to the stories of the old people, strange places where an unknown force stands in the way of those striving for secret knowledge also exist in Russia, for example, near Tula, on the banks of the Upa. Travelers even there stumbled upon the "air" which suddenly became elastic. The daredevils, who nevertheless penetrated inside, did not return back. However, the old people say so. But you never know they will invent fairy tales like "Stone Flower", where Danila, through all obstacles and walls, breaks first to the Mistress of the Copper Mountain, then from her?..
What's behind the "walls"?
We are constantly reminded that fairy tales are a hint, but the invisible “city of Kitezh” and other mysterious kingdoms have not yet been found among the endless Russian forests. According to the Roerichs' works, such a thing still exists, but in distant Tibet. Highly moral saints live there, who are much higher than us in spiritual development, they preach goodness and peace, exert their influence on almost the whole world.
According to other data (received from the Nalchik, Moscow contactees), there are supposedly emigrants living there from the constellation Orion, the descendants of a civilization that has lost its own planet, who separated from the underdeveloped earthlings by a wall, so as not to seduce us ahead of time with their transcendent and dangerous knowledge in the wrong hands. There are still many legends and versions about this distant country called Shambhala, but they all agree on one thing: Shambhala is separated from the rest of the world by a transparent energy wall, which is impossible for an evil or unprepared person to overcome.
Needless to say, all the attempts of numerous expeditions to find this enchanted place were not crowned with success. The travelers saw a mysterious glow, lights, fiery UFOs, heard someone's voices. A feeling told everyone that the solution was somewhere nearby, perhaps two steps away, but … each time, for different reasons, people returned with nothing.
Although, maybe someone reached the goal, perhaps some even returned back and live among us, but these people, for obvious reasons, are silent … What were the devils, fairies, sorcerers hiding (as soon as they called the builders of "castles in the air") and are the aliens hiding behind their invisible walls? What are our ephemeral neighbors doing behind secure fences - building and weaving their homes from high energies, mining minerals, conducting scientific research, observing our behavior, or maybe just relaxing or doing things that are not named in our dictionaries?
Alas, this question is for the most part turned into emptiness, although there are significantly more people who returned from the other side of the walls than "made happy by Shambhala", they "saw nothing, heard nothing", they received all unusual sensations only through touch. Maybe that's why the violators were released because they didn't go too far? Or is the memory erased? In a word, the walls on which it is not written "No outsiders are allowed" continue to keep their secrets and do not let strangers in.
