Intuition - or "sixth sense" - has a rather contradictory and fluid history.

At different times, it was considered either a gift sent from heaven, but a curse leading to persecution, or a form of perverted imagination or superstition that should be suppressed from childhood.

While some people are naturally highly intuitive - as others have athletic or musical talents - intuitive intelligence is common in most sensitive people.

WHAT FORMS OF INTUITION ARE THERE?

Intuition can be defined as "gut" or "scent", insight, inspiration, or a feeling of inner conviction about something. Facts and events are perceived - sometimes with inexplicable certainty - without the process of rational, conscious processing.

This inner insight often comes unexpectedly when a whole picture of events or actions that you must take suddenly appears in your mind's eye, and everything becomes clear and obvious.

By focusing on hidden hints from the external environment, subtle signs of other people's behavior, and forecasting future events, intuition goes beyond the five senses and can be mistaken for imagination or fantasy.

An inner whisper is easy to discount and ignore. But often this neglect is costly and fraught with belated regrets: “I knew it wouldn't work, but I did it anyway. Now I have to deal with the consequences of all this! If only I would listen to my "inner voice"! I wouldn't have such problems now."

TRUST YOUR INNER PERCEPTION

If you need to make a decision, but you are not sure which way to go, your logical mind may not be enough to get rid of confusion, dispel doubts and self-doubt.

In this case, turn to another source - inner wisdom, your inner compass.

Based on your personal experience and perception, he will show you the direction that will be right for you, and it does not matter what other people want or what seems beneficial and preferable to you at the moment.

HOW TO USE INTUITION IN DECISION MAKING

1. Choose a quiet place and time where no one will bother or distract you.

2. Formulate the question or problem you want to reflect on. If you are new to the intuitive approach, do not ask the questions of life and death and do not try to comprehend the future. Allow yourself to become more confident (and competent) first by gaining access to inner wisdom before tackling such serious issues.

3. Write down your question or problem. Use simple words. Be concise.

4. Place your feet on the floor or on the ground and feel their contact with the ground. Now focus on the heart area.

Breathe calmly and evenly. Let your body relax and release any tension. You should be comfortable, you should feel relaxed, immersed in yourself, in a calm and receptive, open state of consciousness, gently and carefully connecting to the source of inner wisdom.

5. Speak your question and wait. Don't force insights to appear.

Be open to whatever comes along. They can be feelings, words, ideas or thoughts that seem to come out of nowhere. If things are still hazy, you can nudge yourself a little by asking, “How do I really feel about the overall situation? What do I need to know? Do I think you need to do the right thing? But don't push. Let the answers come by themselves.

6. Write down whatever you come up with. Don't ponder your ideas, judge, or dispose of the “unusable” ones right away.

7. Ask yourself any questions you may have regarding new ideas. Wait, be open to any answers that may come up. But don't dwell on them. Just write it down.

8. Finish the exercise when you have gathered enough material or found the answer to your question. Go back to your normal state and see what you wrote down. Now you need to analyze those thoughts and ideas that came to you.

Ask yourself the following questions: “Does this seem true to me? Does it correlate and resonate with my Self? Does this strike me as the correct answer / way to proceed? I feel like it will be right? Does this correlate with what I already knew about the situation?"

Continue to test yourself to make sure that the information and insights you receive are valuable, sound genuine and believable, and not just empty fantasies. Having learned to understand and trust your inner wisdom, treat it with attention, but as a guide, not a guide to be blindly followed.

FIND YOUR OWN PATH

This technique will help you access your inner voice. Do not be discouraged if you feel that you have not received any valuable information or nothing happened at all. Perhaps you were in the wrong mood or the timing was not very good.

Intuition is different from our senses like sight, smell, or hearing. It is not always possible to call her by an effort of will, right here and now, when you need to hear her wise voice.

During the session, nothing may happen, but the insight will overtake you a little later, on the way to work, when you are on the bus!

Accessing our inner guidance takes patience and trust, but one way or another, the right answers will come to you if you remain open to this opportunity.

Intuition has nothing to do with daydreaming and hovering in the clouds.

This is another feeling that you can access and consult for valuable information and new direction in overcoming life's difficulties.
