It has been known since time immemorial about rats fleeing from a ship that is only going to sink in the near future. But even in our time it has been noticed that on flights of planes, trains that have crashed, there are always noticeably fewer passengers than on safe flights. Some of the people, on these flights, do not get there for a variety of reasons. There are many years of disaster statistics that support this rule. The "latecomers" themselves often cannot explain why they did not board this particular flight. The people usually say about such a "lucky": the guardian angel saved, was born in a shirt, or simply: intuition is highly developed.

What is intuition? In simple terms, it is the ability to make the right decision in the absence or even in the complete absence of any information about a future event. In everyday life, we use logic or common sense when making decisions. But sometimes the decision is made spontaneously and is contrary to logic and life experience. So, many scientific discoveries are made, for example, the periodic table that Mendeleev dreamed of. Scientists in such cases claim that it is our subconscious mind that works. It's hard to argue with that. Our brain takes in a lot more information than we think. In a dream, it "pops up", and we can, without realizing it, evaluate and draw conclusions. At this time, our brain is not clogged with information noise from the environment.

But what about cases that are not explainable from the point of view of logic? Why didn't the man get on the crashed plane? What made him stop for a second and the icicle from the roof fell by? It does not use experience, memory, reasoning or logic. A person just does it. They call it clairvoyance, foreboding, or simply intuition. It has long been noticed that people with developed intuition are much less likely to find themselves in dangerous situations.

All people possess intuition, to one degree or another. It is well developed in animals that use it instinctively. Even plants have a kind of "sixth sense". This was noticed long ago by our ancestors, and by signs they could understand, for example, whether there would be a snowy winter or not. It turns out that intuition is a look into the future. Therefore, a person who possesses this skill avoids possible danger. This skill was laid down in the course of evolution, but, unfortunately, we have largely forgotten how to use it, unlike animals and plants. But the body signals us about a possible danger, causing anxiety, insomnia, and even indigestion. But we often don't hear these signals.

Can you learn to use intuition in everyday life? Many researchers argue that - yes. Practically, everyone can develop the ability to look into the future for 1-2 seconds. This is enough to avoid immediate danger. This skill is inherent in us by nature. To hear the sixth sense, you need to carefully listen to your body immediately before making a decision. This often helps to make the right decision. But reason and senses often tell the opposite. A simple rule applies here: the more experience you have in any area, for example, you are an experienced driver, listen to your intuition. If you have little experience, use more logic. Intuition, multiplied by knowledge, has a multiplier effect, increasing the likelihood of making the most correct decision.
