The stone forest in Yunnan province is a fabulous place.
A stone forest was formed, like many natural wonders, through prolonged exposure to the environment on the soil.
About 300 million years ago there was a deep sea here, but after it dried up, the underwater relief was exposed and forever became a hostage of elements no less insidious than water. Air, sun and time worked on this place thoroughly before presenting it to human judgment.
The stone forest is divided into 2 parts: aboveground and underground. That part of the natural complex that is located on the surface, in turn, is divided into 3 more parts: the Naigu stone forest, the small stone forest and the main stone forest.
