The Appian Way is the most important of the ancient roads in Rome. It was laid back in 312 BC under the Roman statesman, censor and dictator of Appia Claudius Tseke. This ancient path keeps many legends and myths. One of the legends is associated with magnificent precious stones - sapphires.
Back in the 15th century, under the all-powerful Cardinal Vincenzo Nicolosi, who was a co-ruler of the Vatican state, there was talk that not far from the Appian Way, numerous treasures and imperishable objects were kept in the catacombs, possessing miraculous powers, thanks to which their owner acquired supernatural powers. In fact, this legend turned out to be believable and was confirmed in practice.
In the middle of the 20th century, Doctor of Law Pierre Banzioli conducted research in the archives of church institutions, the results of which simply shocked the scientist. Despite the pope's well-informed agents, the fraudsters stole six silver jugs, the inside of which was filled to the brim with stunning uncut sapphires in blue and blue. In addition, a unique lamp with amazing properties was stolen. Thanks to the incident light, the bodies of the deceased were preserved incorrupt for a long time.
