They may soon radically change our life, the fourth scientific and technological revolution may occur. But will we see 4 scientific and technical revolutions or will we witness something completely different, something that most people do not know about? What will life be like in the future? Filled with enthusiasm, development, struggle, work, new achievements and the triumph of justice? Or will it be full of suffering, oppression, ignorance and more like a new feudalism, only with new ways of enslavement?
Let's take a look at the developed Western countries. Automated technological processes turn out to be more efficient in all respects than processes that widely use people. Cars become cheaper, smarter, faster, and more competitive than humans over time. Therefore, already now millions of people find themselves on the streets simply because they are not needed within the framework of the existing capitalist economy. Economic profits are at the forefront, man is only subordinated to them. And the law of profit says that so many people are not needed, so it is necessary to reduce their number. The bulk of ordinary people will inevitably degrade, degenerate and die out. Someone, because he does not have the opportunity and access to knowledge. In addition to traditional alcohol and drugs, someone will fall into the trap of such a phenomenon as virtual reality. People who are not interested in this life can exchange objective reality for virtual nirvana, where they can enjoy bliss in a fictional universe. While in this life a person will no longer need anything.
But there are other people as well. Already today, only a few have access to knowledge, technology, high-tech medicine, and other benefits of progress. Wealthy groups of the population will have access to all modern technologies and knowledge. They will further alienate themselves from the bulk of people, receiving insurmountable advantages over “mere mortals”. By gaining access to biotechnology, they can biologically separate from the rest of the people. The development of robotics will also bear fruit. The new exploiters will no longer need to parasitize on the working people simply because robots will do all the work instead of people, and they will only have to have fun. We will get unprecedented forms of exploitation - real Technofascism. With new “gentlemen” who, in principle, will not need a simple working people. With new slave machineswhich for the time being will carry out their functions - and then - who knows … Complexly organized matter sooner or later will give rise to a new consciousness. And it will understand everything. But this story will no longer be about people, 99% of whom will be destroyed simply as unnecessary by their own kind.
“What a horror” - you say. Why do we need such a future, such progress at all? Some people will indeed abandon the achievements of civilization because of their fear and helplessness. Instead, they will turn to all kinds of self-deception - religions, esotericism, environmental movements. They will insist that progress is evil and that it is necessary to turn to the roots. At the same time, such people do not understand at all that they have become a victim of yet another deception, a kind of information virus that has taken over their consciousness. The purpose of this virus is still the same - to remove unnecessary population from planet Earth so that they do not waste extra resources. Techno-fascists can easily destroy groups of people who have abandoned modern technologies. But maybe someone will be lucky enough to achieve sustainable development. Some people will survive and get into the cages of the zoo of the future,where it will be possible to live in harmony with pristine nature under the supervision of posthuman exploiters and their robots. The future is inevitable, and the past cannot be returned. Remember, don't get fooled by different ways of cheating.
