Each person has a place where he was born, where everything seems the best, special and dear. For me, such a place is the village of Kyshtovka, my small homeland. It is located in the most remote area of our region, formed in a remote urman. But despite this, it has a very rich history and a peculiar way of life.
Many nationalities live in our area, people who have moved from the central and western regions of Russia, who carefully preserve the elements of their culture and try to pass it on from generation to generation.
It is no coincidence that many incredible legends were born in this taiga land, one more wonderful than the other.
The most fascinating legend, in my opinion, is the legend of the "Five Lakes", four actually existing and one fictional.
In the Kyshtovsky district of the Novosibirsk region, bordering the neighboring Omsk region, there is one of the Siberian mythical "Five Lakes" - Lake Danilovo. The three remaining are located in the Omsk region - Linevo, Urmannoye, Shaitan Lake.
But the fifth, "The Lurking" - the most mysterious - is still hidden from man. It is quite possible that it is "hidden" somewhere in the north-west of the Novosibirsk region. According to legend, these lakes appeared as a result of the fall of five fragments of a disintegrated meteorite, and are interconnected by the underground Shaitan River. They are located at the same distance from each other and all together form the letter "G", have almost the same size and shape, and the water from these lakes does not deteriorate for a long time.
There is an opinion that the water in them is "holy" and a person who has bathed in all five lakes acquires not only health and long life, but also immortality. This legend was the basis for the fairy tale "The Little Humpbacked Horse" by the writer P. Ershov. Some old-timers believe that these lakes are the center of the world, and the people living in these places will survive after the Apocalypse.
There are many legends about each of these reservoirs. Many of them are associated with the name of the lakes. For example, the old-timers associate the name of Lake Danilovo, which is one of the main attractions of our region, with the name of the merchant Daniil, who fell into the lake with a cart of silver when he fled from Soviet power in the 1920s.

Lake Danilovo is often called the "Pearl of Siberia". And this is no coincidence, because the water in the lake is soft, clean, transparent and has medicinal properties. For a long time it was believed that the lake contains a large amount of silver, which makes the lake curative. Currently, this legend has not yet been confirmed by science.
There is information that in the left part of the lake there is a depression 67 meters deep, which supposedly proves its meteoric origin. It is believed that this lake has been repeatedly visited by UFOs, that it is under the observation of extraterrestrial civilizations. But most of all, another legend about the lake is striking. It says that the lake has a triple bottom!
Some of the truth of this legend has been proven by scuba divers. Algae in a thick layer are located in three floors in the water column and each layer is in a suspended state, the roots of algae take everything they need for life directly from the water. Also, scuba divers found out that drowned people settle in the water space before reaching the bottom. This is due to the high salt saturation of the lake.
There are known cases of getting rid of many intractable diseases with the help of lake water, including cancer, despite the fact that the properties of its water have not been fully studied. Currently, Lake Danilovo is still an unsolved mystery, a unique natural phenomenon and a wonderful place for relaxation and health improvement.
There is another legend that for a long time terrified the inhabitants of our area. Probably, many have heard about Bigfoot? And maybe even some managed to see it with their own eyes. Most people say: Yeti exists! The residents of our area are witnesses.
Among those who saw Bigfoot - even an official! The head of the Kulyabinsk village council of the Kyshtovsky district, Alexander Shadrin, a respectable man, teetotal, assures that all this he did not dream and did not dream.
This is what he says: “I myself did not believe in anything until I saw it with my own eyes. After work, at eleven o'clock, I was returning from Kulob to Chernakovka, riding a motorcycle. I looked - the cows were running at me, like they went crazy, at night, when I had to sleep. After a couple of minutes in the dark, I saw glowing eyes. At first I thought it was a calf, but when he let me go 15 meters to him and I lit it with a lantern, then I realized that THIS is really found on our land. Even my heels are cold! Its height is about 2.5 meters, all hairy - light silver wool …, - assures Alexander Shadrin. - And then two more people confessed to me that they saw Bigfoot in our area …"
If there is still a Bigfoot, then it is not surprising that he appeared exactly in such a point of the globe as the Kyshtovsky district. This fact confirms the opinion that it is in the region of the five lakes that several alien races live that have nothing to do with humanoids.
And in conclusion, I want to say the main thing: I was very lucky to live in such a mysterious area of the Novosibirsk region, because it really keeps centuries-old secrets in itself. We will be able to solve some of them, but many secrets will remain mysteries for us …
