Viktor Nekoe, a leading geologist at OAO Krasnoyarskgeologiya, has been professionally searching for ore gold in the northwestern part of the Eastern Sayan for many years. And in 1997, Victor noticed that among the fine gold he had sent off, there were grains of a bizarre shape.

This interested him, and he decided to postpone such gold particles. As a result, he managed to sort out more than half a thousand small gold grains of an unusual shape. Among them, there are especially many of those that resemble people, fewer - animals (elephants, camels). There are also letters - almost the entire Russian alphabet, as well as golden numbers of numbers.

All grains are approximately the same size, from 0.05 to 0.12 millimeters, flat and leafy, golden yellow in color, the degree of roundness is weak and medium. The weight of an individual gold grain does not exceed 0.1 milligram.

Dog portraits in gold

Interestingly, among the most common zoomorphic forms, one can confidently consider well-known dog breeds: there are shepherds, divers, Afghans, Spitz, Poodles, greyhounds, and in addition, there are many mongrels. These breeds (there are at least 30 of them) of golden dogs are recognizable at first sight. From grains-letters, you can add words and even small phrases. There are anthropomorphic gold particles - human figures in different poses (standing, running, sitting). In addition to these recognizable ones, there are gold grains of an indefinite shape.

It seems that these are fragments of women's jewelry - beads, pendants, earrings, only very small, neither give nor take a necklace for Thumbelina.

Or maybe these are golden miniatures made by ancient craftsmen? After all, in our time there are fans of making miniature copies of ships, churches, creating very small books in which text is printed on the thinnest sheets of paper.

Answers to skeptics

We admit that skeptics will object: "Nature can create nothing like that." We also admit such an objection: the variety of forms of placer gold is great, there may be such formations as these. We agree that the creativity of Mother Nature, or rather, of the elementals (nature spirits) - the earth, which in European folklore are called gnomes, and fire (salamanders) - is infinitely diverse.

For skeptics-geologists, we recommend referring to the monograph of Professor, Doctor of Geological and Mineralogical Sciences Nina Vasilievna Petrovskaya, who for many years studied schlich gold from all regions of Siberia, Transbaikalia, Yakutia and northeastern Russia. In this scientific work, she classifies gold crystals as follows: crystals and their intergrowths, dendrites, veinlet and cementation forms, discharge in druse cavities, mixed. As you can see, there is not even a hint of animal-like shapes or gold particles in the form of letters and numbers.

Viktor Nekoye assures that out of all the placer gold that he had seen over the years while exploring the placers of many rivers of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, he found grains of the "animal" style and letters only in the placers mined from the Mana (Sayan) river. The author of this article had a chance to study the placer gold of some rivers of Siberia, as well as Northern Mongolia, but he never came across particles so distinctly similar in shape to any animals, and even more so to letters or numbers. The conclusion suggests itself: the collection of gold grains by geologist Viktor Nekos is unique in its way.

After photographing the golden grains, he, along with other placer gold, handed them over to the special part of the expedition, and those to the state bank. Several years later, some of the footage from that film was digitized. The tape itself was given to someone to look at, and, alas, it did not return to the owner. Only three frames of not the best quality have been preserved in the computer, which we bring to the attention of our readers.

Part of the treasure

Let's assume that these gold grains are not natural, but artificial. Why not? But questions immediately arise. First and foremost: who could have made such small items from gold? For what purpose were they created? Maybe these are fragments of microscopic jewelry, beads - something like a necklace for Thumbelina? Interestingly, the proportion between the average height of a modern woman (1.6 m) and the length of the links of an ordinary gold chain (0.4 cm) is approximately equal to the ratio of the height of Thumbelina (1 inch = 2.54 cm) and the average size of zoomorphic grains (0.07 mm). Is this accidental ?!

Or maybe we have a set of magic symbols? After all, most of the several hundred gold grains in the collection have a bizarre shape, something like signs that can only be understood by a specialist in ancient writing.

And one more question. How many such gold grains were in that placer? Following the law of probability and knowing the average size of Siberian gold-bearing placers, we can talk about numbers with six zeros. In other words, are we dealing with mass-produced products? Hardly. Most likely, this collection is part of a relatively small treasure.

Was there a Thumb Boy?

We do not exclude that the size of the golden grains may indicate that very small people once lived on our old Earth. Remember the heroes of European fairy tales: Thumbelina by Hans Christian Andersen, Little Boy Charles Perrault and Lilliputians by Jonathan Swift. They may object to us: they say, all this is the fruit of the writer's fantasy. Maybe. However, there is no smoke without fire.

According to some esoteric works, in the subtle body of the Universe (noosphere according to V. I. Vernadsky) there are thought forms of everything that was, is and will ever be on the planet and in the near-earth part of outer space. Prophets, foretellers, clairvoyants mentally penetrate the noosphere and draw from there visions of the past and the future, which do not immediately become clear to their contemporaries. It is quite possible that fairy tales about very small people were not born in the heads of their authors by accident …

Dwarf or Alien?

Among the multitude of anthropo- and zoomorphic petroglyphs traditional for Central Asia, there was only one depicting a human figure with a large round head, next to which was a dog and a monkey. The animals were slightly smaller than a human figure. If we assume that the ancient stone carver depicted his characters, observing proportions, then it can be argued that the growth of the man was very small.

Could it be a dwarf? But the proportions of the body and head do not correspond to those of dwarfs. Or is it an alien in a spacesuit with a big round helmet? And the picture above this group is something with four thin supports looks like a space lander. Whom did the ancient artist depict on the rock? This remains a mystery. But if such a man wanted to make a gold piece of jewelry for himself, it might have been quite miniature.

Another option is possible to explain the small size of gold items from the collection of Victor Nekos. Let us remember the wonderful tale of N. S. Leskov about the Russian craftsman Lefty, who managed to shoe a flea with silver horseshoes and gold carnations. Perhaps Lefty could make not only horseshoes and carnations from precious metals.

Who lived on the Mane River?

The conclusion from all that has been said suggests the following. On the territory of the Eastern Sayan in the Mana River basin, most likely in the Neolithic period, our ancestors, the Slavs, lived, who knew how to make the smallest figures of animals, letters, numbers from gold. According to a more fantastic version, these were very small human beings, similar to the midgets from Swift's novel, who knew the Russian alphabet (perhaps not only it, since among the hundreds of gold pieces in the collection there are letters from other alphabets) and skillfully mastered jewelry.

Judging by the good degree of preservation of these gold grains and the absence in the concentrate of similar artifacts from other metals of the Ancient World - iron and bronze, it can be assumed that the age of the items is at least several thousand years. As you know, neither iron nor bronze in river sediments can be stored for so long, and gold - easily! But small gold grains over a period of time longer than several thousand years could wear out very much, and jewelry could turn into ordinary grains. Perhaps it is for this reason that researchers do not recognize ancient jewelry in gold grains and nuggets of an unusual shape, which, by the will of fate, fell many years ago into river sediments.

Archaeologists will probably object: in the Mana River basin there are no finds (sites, settlements, rock carvings) indicating that people lived there in ancient times. Perhaps they are right. But the secret sooner or later becomes apparent. And we hope that the amazing find in the Manskaya taiga will push Siberian archaeologists to a thorough search for traces of ancient settlements. Amazing discoveries await them!
