The Bungle Bungle Ranges is located in the far northwest of the country in the World Heritage Site of Purnululu National Park. This is one of the most mysterious places in Australia.
For over 350 million years, nature has worked to create this incredible landscape. Until the 1980s, only the aborigines from the local Chija tribe knew about the existence of these wonders. Rising from the ground, giant orange-black sandstone cliffs create a surreal landscape like you've never seen it before.
The best place to see the wonders of nature is from a helicopter. Far below, there will be a labyrinth of tiger-colored domed hills, hiding not only sheer sandstone cliffs, but also stately palm trees, calm bodies of water and even waterfalls that appear here during the rainy season.

Purnululu National Park was founded not so long ago - in 1987. It is located in the northwestern part of the continent in the state of Western Australia. This year, the park celebrates its 10th anniversary since the date of its inclusion in the UNESCO World Heritage List. The total area of the territory is almost 240 hectares. The Bangle-Bungle mountain range makes up one-sixth of the park and is the most attractive of the four ecosystems represented here. The Bangle-Bangle striped color is provided by the bright orange sandstone and the dark blue-green algae stripes.
