Puzzlewood
If you are a fan of myths and magic, you may have already heard about this mysterious place. Gloucestershire's Puzzlewood is such a unique and charming forest that has been used as a filming location for popular British TV shows including Merlin and Doctor Who. The special forest rock formations are like puzzles and took millions of years to create.
The forest is also a real treasure. In 1848, workers in a small crevice in the rock discovered three jars with 3000 Roman coins. The owner of the hidden coins is unknown. The question arises: does Puzzlewood hide other undiscovered treasures among its caves, rocky outcrops and ancient trees?
Cheddar gorge

Just over a hundred miles northeast of King Arthur's lands lies the Cheddar Gorge, England's largest gorge. It is believed to have been a hunting ground for Stone Age cavemen and also where Britain's oldest complete skeleton was discovered in 1903 (dating from about 7,150 BC).
The gorge is not only historically spectacular; it is also visually captivating. Its rocky limestone cliffs topped with luscious green moss and lichens, and the awe-inspiring rock formations in its many caves, have earned the status of "Place of Outstanding Natural Beauty."
The Cheddar Gorge was the inspiration for the second book of the Lord of the Rings trilogy, The Two Towers. In 1916 J. R. R. Tolkien visited Cheddar on his honeymoon and was fascinated by its magnificent cliffs and cave systems, which he confirmed in a letter later published in JRR Tolkien's Letters.
Chunktonbury ring
The Ring of Chunktonbury is an Iron Age fortress in West Sussex. The hill is crowned with a crown of beech trees that were planted in 1760 by a local landowner, and while there may not be anything particularly impressive in the trees of the hill, the area has long been associated with strange and frightening events.
Perhaps the oldest superstition about the Ring of Chunktonbury is that if a person walks around the Ring seven times, he will summon the Devil. He will then offer them a bowl of milk, soup or porridge in exchange for their soul.
Local ufologists also called this area a "hot spot" after a series of unexplained observations. He is allegedly haunted by numerous stories of ghost hunters who are frightened or attacked by evil invisible creatures.
