Researchers at the University of Lisbon in Portugal have proposed an explanation for EmDrive, which has yet to be explained in terms of conservation laws. However, the currently accepted Copenhagen interpretation of quantum mechanics asserts that uncertainty is inherent in the particles themselves.

According to scientists, the pilot wave theory states that an object generates a field, and then is attracted to certain areas of that field, where the energy density is highest. Simulation results showed that a sufficiently strong and asymmetric electromagnetic field produced by the cone-shaped EmDrive can act as a pilot wave. This is what creates cravings.
