In ancient and medieval sources, various signs that people observed in the sky are often mentioned. One could laugh at the "obscurantism" of our ancestors, but even today there are many strange phenomena. True, many of them have a completely rational explanation.
Deceiving Venus
For example, on February 26, 2014, a curious phenomenon was observed over Kaliningrad: a bright star lit up above the lunar crescent in the evening cloudless sky. Someone saw in this the image of the Turkish flag, and someone - the Latin "i", the first letter of the name Jesus … True, according to the representative of the Astronomical Society of the Baltic Federal University named after I. Kant Alexei Baigashov, the object that hovered over the crescent moon is not nothing but the planet Venus, which is often mistaken for a star or even a UFO due to the fact that it is very bright …
Divine images
In July this year, 56-year-old amateur photographer Jeremy Fletcher from the British town of Bray, Berkshire, took a mysterious picture on a beach in Norfolk. All day he was unable to take decent landscape photos, as the sky was covered with clouds. But in the evening the weather cleared up.
“It was cloudy that evening, I wanted to go back, and here a strange figure appeared among the clouds,” Fletcher told reporters. - I realized that she looks like a man's face with a beard, and in a hurry took some pictures on my phone. It looked as if someone above had turned to take one last look at the shore. The conclusion suggests itself: most of all, the face resembles God.

The publication of the photographs caused a stir among the residents of Norfolk County: in their opinion, this was clear evidence that the Lord himself was watching over them.
By the way, this episode is far from being isolated. Last year, visitors to Google Earth saw images of Christ and the Virgin Mary in satellite images taken in Switzerland.
And more recently, 38-year-old David Christie from Kent, on a cloudy windy day, standing near the house with his wife and children, filmed amazing footage, which shows a huge hand emerging from the clouds. The author of the photographs immediately dubbed it "the hand of God."
“I love taking pictures of nature and weather, and in the past I even managed to take a few pictures of small wind funnels,” said Christie. “But that was something else. It seemed that a huge hand was reaching out to us, trying to break through the clouds. I've never seen anything like it. It was phenomenal.
Christie dreams of going on a trip around the world to capture as many mysterious natural phenomena as possible. He hopes that he will be able to capture more "something special".
Fanatical people tend to see "divine images" in the most unexpected places and situations, skeptics comment. So, there are many cases when the images of Christ, the Mother of God and other saints appeared on food items, in mold on walls and ceilings, or formed from window drizzle … Someone managed to see them in a chaotic combination of lines - and the news got into the press. The point is how exactly we perceive the reality around us, psychologists say.
Sun anomalies
And here is another "sensation". In the images taken by the SOHO solar observatory on August 22, the hunters for anomalous phenomena have examined an object resembling the figure of an angel spreading its wings.
It is curious that this is not the first time such anomalies have been recorded. Thus, "angel-like" objects were seen near the Sun on March 27, 2009 and November 10, 2012.

"Angels" seem huge - they are larger than our Earth. However, experts say this may turn out to be an illusion. Perhaps the objects are not located near the Sun at all, but much closer to the satellite that photographed them.
Sane experts explain the appearance of "unidentified flying objects" near the luminary by malfunctions in the operation of the digital matrices of the apparatus or by interference arising from the transmission of data to Earth. The fact is that the SOHO probe was launched in December 1995. So it is already quite old, and there are more and more "bad" pixels in the cameras installed on it.
There is another version of the origin of the "UFO": other stars and planets fall into the frame. If the light from them falls directly into the lens, then they seem winged and may well resemble "angels".
The "real" "angel" could be observed on July 12, 2011, when the Sun ejected a plasma clot. In shape, the latter also resembled an angel spreading its wings … According to NASA astrophysicist Alex Young, the protuberance bent in a loop broke into several "filaments" and then, under the influence of the attraction of the solar magnetic field and gravity, returned back to its "native" star. The plasma ejection lasted for several hours and reached an altitude of 150 thousand kilometers. This, fortunately, did not damage the earth.
Cloud - "angel"
By the way, "angels" have recently been seen not only in the sun. So, in mid-August this year, a mysterious story happened to a 38-year-old resident of East London, Mirjeta Binock, who photographed a cloud in the form of an angel, which she and her friends observed over the roof of her house in the Barking area.

The woman was with friends in the backyard of her house. She wanted to take some pictures of the night sky with the moon and stars, and she went into the house for a mobile phone with a camera. When the friends later began to look at the photographs, something strange was discovered on them.
“When we looked at the image, we saw this creature in the photo, and everyone was amazed,” Mirzheta recalls. - My first thought was that this creature might be something like a dove, but everyone said that it looks like an angel.
After that, Mirzheta remembered that two days before the incident, the son of the director of the construction company where she works, being in her room, saw a bright white flash moving outside the window. It occurred to her that this was due to today's incident.
“At first we didn't believe him, but when we saw the picture in the photo, it certainly made us think,” says Binock.
The incident on the Shamanka
There are "angels" in Russia as well. On the eve of the summer solstice 2007 in the region of Shamanka Mountain in the Urals, near which the famous Arkaim fortress is located, according to tradition, magicians and psychics from all over Russia gathered for a rally. There are amazing rumors about these places - they say that Christ himself once climbed the mountain, and an alien spaceship is hidden inside the Shamanka … But the fact that there is an unusual energy that puts people into a trance is a fact.
While photographing the surroundings, local resident Sergey did not notice anything unusual. And, just looking at the pictures on a computer, I suddenly noticed in one of the frames a small white object resembling an angel figure in outline. Curiously, the "angel" was absent in the previous frame.
Should I take these things seriously? If you suddenly noticed something unusual in the sky, then you should first "work through" all possible rational versions of the origin of this phenomenon. And if none of them can explain it, then indulge in speculations about the supernatural …
