Danil Luminarsky from the 22nd Krasnoyarsk school invented an electronic analogue of a guide dog. The device is intended for visually impaired people. In an ordinary cane, the inventor mounted a control panel, as well as analogs of a navigator and parking sensors. The device includes GPS, terrain maps, voice input modules and human route correction. As soon as the user of the cane turns it on, the GPS system automatically determines the location of the person. Then he says the address, and the smart system processes the sound signal, independently laying the best route.

The guide doesn't just tell the user to go straight or turn left. The cane-mounted system warns of possible obstacles. The built-in analogue of parking sensors will inform the person about the curb or stairs on his way. If an obstacle exists, the system will alert the user with sound and vibration signals. It is specified that their strength increases as they approach the obstacle. The cane can be programmed for a specific person and save individual routes, for example, to a store or a clinic.

Danil Luminarsky has been developing and assembling the cane for over a year. According to the student's calculations, if the device is put into production, the electronic guide will cost about 10 thousand rubles. Nevertheless, the inventor does not aim to make money.

The young man plans to make the life of people with low vision easier and more convenient. He is confident that thanks to its development, visually impaired Krasnoyarsk citizens will be able to independently move around the city and live an ordinary life. After school, Danil wants to become an engineer and is now studying in a specialized engineering and technological class. The special class has a special program for in-depth study of physics and mathematics, students attend classes on the theory of solving inventive problems, drawing, programming, robotics, computer 3D modeling, and work in an engineering laboratory.

“This academic year, the number of specialized classes in schools has increased significantly. 1,700 children study in 68 classes of various directions,”said Tatiana Sitdikova, head of the main education department. - For students of specialized classes, schools become the first stage in the development of modern engineering specialties. They undergo vocational guidance, approach their choice of profession with all responsibility and receive an excellent basis for further successful admission to the leading universities of the region and the country."
