In 1964, a nuclear-powered Soviet submarine encountered a large cigar-shaped UFO in the Atlantic. According to the First Mate, Captain II Rank A. Suddenly, three bright beams hit from the bottom of the "airship", thanks to which the observers saw that the object was missing a gondola, as well as horizontal and vertical rudders. The length of the object reached 200-250 meters, the distance to the object was about a mile.
Then the unexpected happened: the object, without turning off its searchlights, began to slowly descend and disappeared under the water. The boat's sonars recorded a short hissing sound at that moment. Of course, reports from the military are very rare, civilian sailors often report encounters with UFOs. Such situations are emergency, and by order of the captain, the ship's radio operator sends a radiogram to the home port indicating the exact time and a short description. the sanity of what he saw. Such telegrams have been sent to the central radio station of the Baltic Shipping Company more than once.
Usually, these messages settled in the journals where the received telegrams were recorded, and only starting from the 80s of the last century, this information began to come to scientific organizations. So, at one time, the Central Commission on Anomalous Phenomena at the All-Union Council of Scientific and Technical Societies (VSNTO) received a detailed report from the second mechanic of the Leningrad production association "Lenrybp-rum" A. Golotykin.
In 1980, he sailed on a large
roseller fishing trawler "Brilliant". On January 24, the trawler was fishing 20-30 miles off the coast of Western Sahara. At 13.00 Golotykin went on deck and, together with other crew members, drew attention to a black object in the shape of a cigar flying towards the ship. The object was going much slower than a conventional aircraft at an altitude of one and a half to two kilometers. No sounds were heard. Earlier, in August 1965, the crew of the Soviet steamer Raduga observed a fireball with a diameter of about 60 meters. It was in the Red Sea. The UFO, changing its shape, was observed by sailors of the Soviet research vessel "Monsoon" in the summer of 1972. The vessel was located approximately 300 miles southeast of Bermuda. Early in the morning, the electrician Vagin, the ship's radio operator and one of the navigators noticed an "ellipsoidal body clearly visible against the background of a cloudless sky, slowly moving at a high altitude from north-west to south-east.
